This is a dream come true for Tyler Perry, the 50 years old African American media mugul. Tyler Perry is a man of humble beginning, raised in poverty in New Orleans, Tyler Perry dropped out of high school and went through a period of homelessness as he struggled as a playwright. This venture into writing began in his early twenties, while watching an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, he heard someone describe the therapeutic effect the act of writing can have. That comment became a flashlight and inspired him to apply himself to a career in writing. He soon started writing a series of letters to himself, which became the basis for the musical I Know I've Been Changed.
