In 1961, its Swedish owner brought the car to the Stockholm dealership to convert it to floor shift and to have the Nardi steering wheel fitted.

Rockstar parking at the phenomenal Andrew Murray vineyards (@amvwine ). One of our favorite wineries in Santa Ynez, they do a lot of things, but their Rhône varietals are out of this world. From Syrah, to Grenache (my favorite), Mourvèdre (@bronsonpage favorite), to the sensational blends (you need to treat yourself to the “Brazen”), the wines are eclectic and simply stunning. Best Viognier game in town, period. 🙏🙏🙏

- My Top 10 Favourite Designers The results are in and it is mostly what I was expecting. I used to do a lot of Quantitative and Qualitative Research. With this there are too many variables for the quantitative to be of anything other than interest. But combined with the qualitative it says to me that Michelotti should move to number 10. Brovarone needs to move further up the list (7) and Scaglione I would move to number 9. The first 6 are spot on. Obviously Scaglione made it as a discussion on some group. Anderloni is low because the average punter hasn’t heard of him. SKILLED WORKFORCE NEEDED Working with alloys is not easy and the panel beaters at Carrozzeria Marazzi saw that first-hand when they had to deal with Peraluman (AlMg4) body panels. They were not doing well with them and Scaglione did what he could to remediate the situation by asking engineer Carlo Chiti for support and, eventually, Giusepoe Luraghi, the President of Alfa Romeo at the time. At the end they loaned workers from Zagato to do that job instead. You can also see the required man hours to do certain tasks on the 33 Stradale, as recorded by Franco Scaglione himself on pic 4.

Mascherone Giulietta. The buck that Bertone used to turn Scaglione’s drawings into a prototype, then the dyes for the 750 Giulietta Sprint. Not only was the car a work of art, so was the wooden buck. Nuccio Bertone donated it to the museum of modern design in Turin, and now it’s at Museo Nazionale del’automobile where I saw it. Blue Alfas 💙🍀 - We brought out the Junior Z and the Giulietta to the cars and coffee at Irvine. It is nostalgic as this is the place where I have met so many enthusiasts that became friends. And it is the birthplace of all cars and coffees: from Crystal Cove to Irvine, this is where it all began.
This puts a smile on my face whenever I open the garage: ‘59 Lancia Flaminia Sport, on loan from a friend, and ‘57 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint. I’d say, the weekend will be full of driving but there is one of those atmospheric rivers coming down on LA 🌧️💧☔️

We drove the ‘57 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint all weekend long. It is mind-boggling how easy they are to drive. We rebuilt this car completely mechanically. Everything on it is a delight: The engine that we left in stock configuration, is such a marvel with sufficient power out of the tiny 1.3 l displacement. The tunnel gearbox is a total delight to use. The steering is so light (it’s a small car) and direct. The suspension is the star. We also left it almost stock with (painted) Konis on soft setting. The weather was great and I could not get enough of this car.

Point of View Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 (1966-1968) Tipo: 1GM4831OM Chassis number:01273 Engine number: 1469 (not installed in the car) Produced: 247 to 250 The story of the Lamborghini 350/400 GT began with the 350 GTV prototype designed by Franco Scaglione in 1963. The 3.5-litre engine and the tubular frame were designed by Giotto Bizzarrini, who left Lamborghini after the presentation of the prototype to found his own car brand. Gianpaolo Stanzani and Gian Paolo Dallara continued the project and presented the Lamborghini 350 GT at the 1964 Geneva Motor Show. In 1966, the 400 GT replaced the 350 GT as a further development. In addition to the larger displacement (3929cc), it is immediately recognisable by the two double headlights, the modified bumper and the revised grille. I also find the use of Porsche synchronisation very interesting. The 350/400 GT models were built at Carrozzeria Touring, where the design was also modified. Federico Formenti was probably heavily involved in this, as he was chief designer at Touring at the time. The last 400 GTs were built by the Marazzi brothers after Touring went bankrupt. This 400 GT was originally shipped to the USA in January 1968 with a green-painted body and mustard-coloured interior. A new engine was installed sometime between 1990 and 2014. Giulietta Allegerita…!! Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce, chassis number 3389, built in Dic 1956, receiving the Bertone number 77229. This Tipo 750E Alleggerita (Lightweight) is a model with numerous special features, as large use of aluminum panels (doors, hood, trunk lid, frontlights frames, bumpers, doors frames), and plexiglass (sliding windows on the doors, rear and quarter windows), removal of all sound deadening materials, made this Veloce 70 kg lighter than the standard Giulietta Sprint. • Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. Only 18 units were produced of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, between 1967 and 1969. Only 700 kg make it a true racing car, the 33 Stradale has a 1985 cm³ V8 engine designed by the engineer Giuseppe Busso with the management of Carlo Chiti who was in charge of the Autodelta. The engine was able to develop 270 hp at 9600 rpm in the competition version and 230 hp in the street version. The 33 Stradale reached 260 km/h top speed and went from 0 to 100 km/h in 5''6.
