Lancia Flaminia Sport Zagato 3C The Flaminia was the successor of the Aurelia and introduced in 1957. The Flaminia has similar body styles and is placed in a similar segment like the Aurelia. Also the Flaminia is named after a Roman road, the Via Flaminia which leads from Rome to Rimini. The Flaminia Sport Coupe was created by Carrozzeria Zagato and was added to the Flaminia lineup in 1959. The Sport Coupe is a sporty Gran Turismo which is more lightweight than many of the other Flaminia models and has better driving stats. It was also the most aggressively designed Flaminia Coupe in comparison to the Coupes designed by Touring and Pininfarina. The Sport Coupe had three versions. The early models which were build until 1961 and the 3C which comes with two different engines. This is a Sport Coupe Zagato 3C which was built between 1961 and 1964. The smaller version has a 2.5 Liter V6 with 140 hp, the bigger version came in 1963 and has a 2.8 Liter V6 with 150 hp. The Sport Coupe Zagato 3C is very rare with only 180 cars ever made. 152 out of the 180 had the 2.5 Liter V6 The rarity contributes to the high market value of the Sport Coupe Zagato 3C which is valued in the 200 to 350.000 Dollar region, making it one of the most valuable cars on Rabsahl Carphotography I would describe the Sport Coupe Zagato 3C as a rare Italian delicacy in comparison to the cars I usually post.

It is 20 years since I've seen this Lancia at Italia a Zandvoort 2004. Seen here at Viva Italia 2024 at Zandvoort. It's a 1993 Lancia Hyena Zagato! Former Dutch Lancia importer Paul Koot came to Zagato with the idea for a small coupe based on the Delta Intergrale Evo. Design was done by Marco Pedracini and the Hyena debuted in 1992. Fiat wanted nothing to do with the project so Paul and Zagato had to do everything themselves. 500 examples was the plan, but only 24 were made between ‘92 and ‘96. As it’s based on the Intergrale it has the 2.0 litre 4 cylinder with 250 bhp. Eveneens zie ik gelijkenissen met de achterkant van de derde serie #AlfaSpider #Aerodinamica. Mooi of niet, de Coda Tronca (short tail) aka Kamm Tail, is een historisch verantwoord design element van Alfa Romeo. Ik denk aan de prachtige Alfa Romeo #GiuliaTZ of #33Stradale. Ik voorspel de nieuwe Junior een succesvolle toekomst, in het bijzonder voor de Ibrida versie. Daarnaast zal de Elettrica het goed doen in markten die voorop lopen op het gebied van Battery Electric Vehicles, zoals Nederland. Prachtig dat het klassieke schrift ‘Alfa Romeo’ terugkeert (in plaats van het logo) op de achterkant van de Junior, nu in zwart in plaats van chroom. Ook stoer dat het Alfa Romeo logo nu prominent een plek heeft gekregen op de motorkap (in plaats in de scudetto-grill), nu uitgevoerd in chroom/zwart. De Junior wordt voor Alfa Romeo een game changer, zoals dat voor #Porsche de #Cayenne - made in Slovakia! - was, inmiddels 21 jaar geleden. The 2022 Maserati Barchetta is a top 10 car for me. The standout designers are of course; Ugo Zagato, Ercole Spada and the current, Norihiko Harada. Here is my top 10: 1: Ferrari LaFerrari Prototype MP10 - what a great surprise to see two LaFerrari mule cars on display thanks to @carrsferrari, especially since they both look so different as per different development stages. 2: Ferrari LaFerrari Prototype MP09 - see 1. 3: Jaguar D-Type (XKD 523?) - this marvellous chassis spent its racing life in the US competing at the Governor's Trophy in Nassau, Lime Rock, Watkims Glen and other venues in club racing, even facing the likes of Stirling Moss, Phil Hill and Carroll Shelby. It also may be the best-looking Jaguar ever. 4: Aston Martin Vantage GTE - this is the 2020 Le Mans winner in the LMGTE Pro category with Alex Lynn, Maxime Martin and Harry Tincknell behind the wheel. A great factory effort. 5: BMW 3.0 CSL E9 - @octanecollection's finest is this Ceylon Gold-painted E9 which made its appearance at the concours. 6: Koenigsegg Agera N 7084 - turns out this is the first RHD customer Agera and I am a sucker for its clean spec in white with blue lines and accents. It reminds me of the Agera Prototype only that that ons is silver with blue accents. 7: Pagani Huayra Roadster - it's the spec again, a marvellous one. Cherry red with gold can make wonders if done properly. 8: Porsche 964 3.8 RSR - read number 7. The burst of colors on the back make this 964 look like an art car because one usually doesn't see so many colors applied to a livery that's not for a special occasion. 9: Aston Martin DB7 Zagato - there has to be at least one Zagato in a good car event and this is that one, although I think it is a bit forgotten, maybe because the DB7 is a somewhat affordable and very depreciated sports car. Still a great work of art! 10: Lamborghini Miura S - this is Marcello Gandini's most revered and iconic project and one of the most important cars of the last century.
1964 Alfa Romeo Tubolare Zagato. 1600lbs, 160 bhp from 1600cc. Loud as a blender inside, but incredible to drive. The twisty roads of the coastal range around Malibu are often bumpy, but the car has amazing ride quality and feels utterly planted to the road. This particular car was raced by a woman from San Diego in the mid 1960s and was restored in 2019. Quello che succederà alle Ferrari nel Gran Premio di Miami, non è una novità assoluta, a Watkins Glen, USA, il 4 ottobre del 1964. la Ferrari si presentò in livrea bianca e blu. Fu proprio il Drake a decidere il cambio di colore. “La vera particolarità di questa vettura così competitiva e innovativa al tempo stesso fu la colorazione bianco-blu che assunse negli ultimi due Gran Premi del campionato negli Stati Uniti e in Messico. In quel periodo, infatti, i rapporti tra Enzo Ferrari e la Federazione italiana arrivarono ai ferri corti per la mancata omologazione della 250 LM, che doveva correre nella categoria Gran Turismo ma che invece fu costretta a confrontarsi con i prototipi. Alla fine della stagione 1964 il Drake si vide revocata la licenza di costruttore, fatto che gli impediva di iscrivere delle macchine con il suo nome agli eventi della massima serie a ruote scoperte. Per questo, per le ultime due gare la 158 corse sotto l’insegna della NART, North American Racing Team, con cui la Ferrari aveva in atto una collaborazione tecnica. Did a multi step paint correction, and topped it off with @wolfgangcarcare Profi ceramic coating. We crashed the party that is the @californiamille to catch up with friends who are participating. And we experienced major fomo. It is such a fantastic event, expertly organized by our friends at @hagertyevents . You simply cannot beat the roads, stops along the route, the accommodations and fun dinners. Best of all are a bunch of really good people and outstanding cars, like this sensational Fiat 8V that ran in the Mille Miglia in 1955 and 1956. We have done it 5 times and are firmly planning to participate next year again … if they let us in among all that beautiful heavy metal.
