It's the final media event for his movie, which was deservingly nominated for two #Oscars, for their excellent work in best sound & visual effects. __ So many great jokes, banter, and tidbits from it. He revealed the movie was originally titled #TrueLove, and it was titled that till the year prior to it coming out. The original cut was about 5hrs long, before he trimmed it to about 2hrs 30mins; and he teased a possible longer Directors Cut for the movie. The day of this Q&A it was revealed that he's doing the next #JurassicPark Movie, & that he was originally going to take a break, but the one movie that'll bring him back was JP, and they came calling him. He said the original JP is one of the greatest of all time, and #Spielberg was his inspiration to getting into filmmaking. The original ending was always its ending. He says an hr & 30mins is the ideal time to do a movie. He talked about using a #SonyFX3 camera to shoot the movie, which you can pretty much buy from Best Buy. There were appearances by other stars such as #JasonMewes, #BrianOHalloran, #JeffAnderson, #TrevorFehrman, #MarilynGhigliotti & #AustinZajur. __ They talked a lot on the movie...& then some. It’s October 20th and my fave’s birthday so it’s that day that I write the exact same thing from previous October 20ths. It’s fine… When I was a kid I had a crush on the mean guy in a bunch of movies and then decades later that mean guy turned out to be one of the best actors on television and that mean character he is best known for is now my favorite person on my favorite show. Usually your childhood crush doesn’t wind up being your favorite actor decades later but here we are and it’s amazing. Plus…I was boy crazy so, honestly, there were options and this one is the only one that stuck, man! Happy birthday to that guy today, who is always kind and patient and makes every fan feel seen. With #TheCreator out in #MovieTheaters now, #ThrowItBack to #GarethEdwards at the #Collider #DirectorsOnDirecting panel at #HallH, for his movie, which has yet to come out at that time (back in July). That was one of my favorite things about #ComicCon this year as well as my favorite panel of the event! It was so fun, such a blast, lots of fascinating info, lots of laughs. __ They showed great exclusive footage from The Creator, which all looked great and drew a huge applause 👏🏽 from the crowd) -- which funnily had Directors #JustinSimien & #LouisLeterrier quickly running to the restroom for a quick bathroom-break & then running to seats in the crowd to watch the Creator footage with the general audience. They all had high praise for Edwards (who was trying to downplay it all) for his revolutionary work on the Creator, with the unique way he was shooting it (on the Dony FX3 camera), with Leterrier saying how he's going to change filmmaking with what he's doing with this movie. They also showed new artwork and poster-work for the movie, and gave out exclusive posters for that after the panel. __ The movie is magnificent. Even with its storytelling issues from time to time, it's still an incredible experience. The movie is original, mesmerizing, epic and ambitious. Gorgeously shot and visually stunning. Big emphasis on existential connection, Artificial Intelligence, and value of life, it's harrowing, emotional, and soulful. It felt intimate yet massive. Its pretty revolutionary filmmaking for a movie this visually impressive with excellent production values, that it was mainly shot on the Sony FX3, a small enough camera you can easily buy on Amazon or Best Buy (pretty much a huge step-up from the likes of Steven Soderbergh using an iPhone to shoot a couple of his films). Comic Con was a success! Being a huge movie fan I always wanted to experience Hall H at SDCC. I tried for 3 years and never got in. This weekend it finally happened! No Marvel this year but we still got *for Hall H eyes only* from Warner Bro’s lineup + DC comics and hear from the creators themselves.
