Nardia has recently come to stay with us more often, helping around the house and with Lilygrace as I work on my Etsy shop. Lilygrace loves being with her, and we're so happy for Lilygrace to be meeting more of her (many) aunties! We appreciate you so much for always travelling long distances to be with us, even to celebrate Lilygrace's first birthday ❤️ Charity: We haven't been able to see her much as she lives quite far from us. She's been continually praying for Lilygrace, and she came to help us out when Lilygrace was at her most vulnerable state, just before her open heart surgery in December 2022, and needed to be on oxygen at home. Sweet baby Odin (Co-Owner Ambers son) had a exploratory heart cath procedure today in preparation for his second open heart surgery next week. When I first left my full time job it was in preparation of care for this little one while his mama worked for her insurance and to help with the massive expenses they were facing. I knew when I left my job that I had to grow this shop, that it would help support our families, be something I would make Flourish. Soon after Amber realized how much she was missing Odin during the day and how hard it was to work with all of those Dr appts. Then it was something we started growing even more because now it is two families. Your support means the world to us, it means we can stay home with Odin and our other children, it means our children can watch us work hard to build a business, and it means Amber and I (sisters and BFFs) can hang out constantly 😂 so THANK YOU! Fighter....that's the only word that comes to mind when I look at this little guy. Mason is what one would call a heart warrior or HLHS warrior. Born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), a rare congenital heart defect, he under went his first open heart surgery as a newborn. After suffering from a heart attack and stroke as an infant, Mason needed a new heart. He was given just that, an amazing new heart. And this picture pays tribute to the little angel heart that lives inside of him every single day. Many may not know this but I am what they would call an HLHS Aunt, or in my words HLHS Auntie. And my sweet nephew is getting by every single day and I thank the Lord every day that he is such a fighter, just like Mason is!
