Hot on the heels of last week’s IHSH-33 restock comes the overdyed-black variation of this 12oz selvedge denim classic. 👕: 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo Overdyed Black (IHSH-33-OD) Not quite black but no longer indigo, these models are created by saturating a standard indigo shirt in black dye. We have, however, made some recent updates to our overdying process - so if you already own any Iron Heart overdyed denim, you may notice some subtle differences between the finish of these most recent models. In a bid to improve our eco-awareness, we’re moving away from using sulphur dyes (which are very toxic and hazardous to use) in favour of a direct dye process when overdyeing. While you can still expect these shirts to fade similarly to previous OD models, the contrast of the poly/cotton stitching now appears slightly more prominent, and the dyeing process no longer oxidises the metal hardware. While the darkest shades within the pattern are indigo-dyed, the lighter tones are created using a newly developed reactive dyeing method. This spring/summer season, we’ve expanded our denim range with a brand new 13.5oz white cotton twill. 👖: 13.5oz Denim Slim Straight Jeans - White (IH-666-WT) While weighing only slightly less than our mid-weight 14oz weave, this non-selvedge denim has been woven to offer a very different feel. As it utilises open-ended yarns and a slightly looser twill, the result is a much softer, more breathable denim than its comparatively stiff 14oz counterpart. Finished with aluminium rivets and a tonal fabric patch to maintain a clean aesthetic, the result is a lighter-weight yet highly durable pair of jeans that are perfect for the warmer months.
