The members of the Hamilton Encampment Support Network (HESN) and other advocates protested on November 24th, 2021 at J.C. Beemer Park. The protest was in support of the encampment residents at the J.C Beemer Park and Beasley Parks. The residents were given a two hour eviction notice and were not given alternate permanent housing. The residents have been facing harassment and violence by the Hamilton Police. Violent arrests were made against six community members on November 24th, and November 26th 2021. Many of these arrests were made on the event that took place, known as, “Freedom Camp, (which) was a direct response to the First Ontario Centre and Ferguson teardowns that occurred in October 2020.” The advocates who are facing charges when taken into custody, were left with concussions, bruises, scrapes, sprains and other injuries. On January 10th, they will be challenging the bail conditions. HESN will continue to demand to end the criminalization of anti-poverty advocates, unhoused people and Black youth. Just over a month ago myself and 5 other youth were violently arrested by #Hamilton Police while advocating for the rights of our unhoused neighbours (and really all humans). We were left beaten, bruised and scarred in response to care work and our right to peaceful protest. On Jan 10th, the 6 of us will be going to our first court hearing. I am being tried for Assaulting a Peace Officer. It is a maximum of 10 years' imprisonment as an indictable offence, or 18 months' imprisonment by summary conviction. The sad truth is that we were the ones who were assaulted. فراز ۳ خطبه غدیر مَعاشِرَ النّاسِ، اِنَّهُ اِمامٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ، وَ لَنْ یَتُوبَ اللَّهُ عَلى اَحَدٍ اَنْكَرَ وِلایَتَهُ وَ لَنْ یَغْفِرَ لَهُ، حَتْماً عَلَى اللَّهِ اَنْ یَفْعَلَ ذالِكَ بِمَنْ خالَفَ اَمْرَهُ وَ اَنْ یُعَذِّبَهُ عَذاباً نُكْراً اَبَدَ الْابادِ وَ دَهْرَ الدُّهُورِ. فَاحْذَرُوا اَنْ تُخالِفُوهُ، فَتَصْلَوْا ناراً وَقُودُهَا النّاسُ وَ الْحِجارَةُ اُعِدَّتْ لِلْكافِرینَ هان مردمان! او امام از جانب خداست و خداوند هرگز توبه‌ى منكر او را نپذیرد و چنین كسى را نیامرزد. این است روش قطعى خداوند درباره‌ى ناسازگار با امامت على و حتماً او را به عذاب دردناك جاودانه كیفر خواهد كرد. پس، از مخالفت او بهراسید؛ و گرنه خواهید افتاد در آتشى كه آتش گیره‌ى آن مردمان‌اند و سنگ (تحریم / ۶) كه براى حق ستیزان آماده شده است. خطبه غدیر فراز۳ 👇🏻 فَاعْلَمُوا مَعاشِرَ النّاسِ، ذالِكَ فیهِ وَ افْهَمُوهُ وَ اعْلَمُوا اَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ نَصَبَهُ لَكُمْ وَلِیّاً وَ اِماماً فَرَضَ طاعَتَهُ عَلَى الْمُهاجِرینَ وَ الْاَنْصارِ وَ عَلَى التّابِعینَ لَهُمْ بِاِحْسانٍ، وَ عَلَى الْبادى وَ الْحاضِرِ، وَ عَلَى الْعَجَمِىِّ وَ الْعَرَبِىِّ، وَ الْحُرِّ وَ الْمَمْلوكِ، وَ الصَّغیرِ وَ الْكَبیرِ، وَ عَلَى الْاَبْیَضِ وَ الْاَسْوَدِ، وَ عَلى كُلِّ مُوَحِّدٍ، ماضٍ حُكْمُهُ، جازٍ قَوْلُهُ، نافِذٌ اَمْرُهُ، مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ خالَفَهُ، مَرْحُومٌ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ وَ صَدَّقَهُ، فَقَدْ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ وَ لِمَنْ سَمِعَ مِنْهُ وَ اَطاعَ لَهُ. هان مردمان! بدانید این آیه درباره‌ى اوست. ژرفاى آن را بفهمید و بدانید كه خداوند او را سرپرست و امام شما قرار داده و پیروى اش را بر مهاجران و انصار واجب كرده و بر پیروان آنان در نیكى، و بر صحرانشینان و شهروندان، و بر عجم و عرب و آزاده و برده و كوچك و بزرگ و سفید و سیاه و هر یكتاپرست؛ اجراى گفتار و فرمانش لازم، امرش نافذ، ناسازگارش رانده، پیرو و باوركننده‌اش در مهر است. البتّه كه خداوند، او و شنوایان سخنش و پیروان راهش را آمرزیده است. His obedience is bound to the Immigrants, the Allies, and those who obey them in fairness; so is for the villagers and the citizens, the non-Arabs as well the Arab clans, and for the free men and the servants; for all – young, old, black and white, and for every Monotheist whosoever! You are bound to achieve his decision and word, and to obey his instruction! Whosoever opposes him is damned; and whosoever obeys him and regards, receives the Grace of God. خطبه غدیر فراز ۱ 👇🏻 بارِئُ الْمَسْمُوكاتِ، وَ داحِى الْمَدْحُوّاتِ، وَ جَبّارُ الْاَرَضینَ وَ السَّماواتِ، قُدُّوسٌ سُبُّوحٌ، رَبُّ الْمَلائِكَةِ وَ الرُّوحِ. مُتَفَضِّلٌ عَلى جَمیعِ مَنْ بَرَاَهُ، مُتَطَوِّلٌ عَلى جَمیعِ مَنْ اَنْشَاَهُ، یَلْحَظُ كُلَّ عَیْنٍ وَ الْعُیُونُ لاتَراهُ. كَریمٌ حَلیمٌ ذُواَناةٍ، قَدْ وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَىْ ءٍ رَحْمَتُهُ، وَ مَنَّ عَلَیْهِمْ بِنِعْمَتِهِ. لا یَعجَلُ بِانْتِقامِهِ، وَ لا یُبادِرُ اِلَیْهِمْ بِمَا اسْتَحَقُّوا مِنْ عَذابِهِ. اوست آفریننده‌ى آسمان‌ها و گستراننده‌ى زمین‌ها و حكمران آن‌ها. دور و منزّه از خصایص آفریده‌هاست و در منزّه بودن خود نیز،از تقدیس همگان برتر. هموست پروردگار فرشتگان و روح؛ افزونى بخش بر آفریدگان و بخشنده ى بر همه‌ى موجودات است. به نیم نگاهى دیده‌ها را ببیند و دیده‌ها هرگز او را نبینند. كریم و بردبار و شكیباست. رحمتش جهان شمول و عطایش منّت‌گذار. در انتقام و كیفر سزاواران عذاب، بى‌شتاب است. Part 1 of the Ghadir Sermon: Praising God He is the Maker of the heavens, as well the expander of the Earth(es), and He is Ruler over them; He is [beyond all beings], and He is Glorified and Sanctified. So is He the Lord of the Angels, and the Spirit! He favours all creatures that He has created! His Grace is expanded to all that He has created. He perceives the eyes [of all beings], while no eyes can see Him; He is the most Generous, Patient and Calm. His Mercy cuddles the whole entity; He favours them with His Bounty.
