🐢Tarte High Tides & Good Vibes🐢 Palette collection series - 205/211 • • New series coming at ya! This was inspired by 'zsospalette' series! I thought it would be fun to show off EVERY palette in my collection! And rather than swatching every single shade, we just swatch the fav & least fav shades! Unlike Zsofi I have 211 palettes to get through so been posting at a rapid rate to finish by September! I also want to give an out of 10 rating to just have a TLDR summary of the palettes! • Next up is @tartecosmetics High Tides & Good Vibes palette aka what I call the Tarte Turtle palette 😂 ☆ 5/10 ☆ I got this given from @kimkroft 2ndhand! I had always wanted this becoz I'm just a sucker for anything ocean/sea themed but was never gonna pay Tarte prices for it, was waiting for a good sale but then it was gone so quick once it was on sale so I missed it! My ocean loving heart is so happy I have it now, if even just for packaging reasons 😂😂 • But guys.... Tarte quality IS actually good like the basic neutral beauty gurus say 😂 The colourful side isn't as good but these neutrals are so nice. I get why their neutral palettes are a hit. • It's hard to judge the quality on a palette I got almost 4 years old. I can tell these are abit age affected & weren't like this new because I swatched it IRL once. • The 3 neutral pink mattes are nicely pigmented & blend so easily and just look so soft & pretty on the eyes. The pale blue matte is abit iffy, but that's because I personally love a bold really pigmented shade for colourful mattes! It just create a soft & pretty look like the neutrals. • The metallics have a mix of more nice soft thicker metallics & a few more dull ones (the blues lol) I'm actually really into the deep brown & champagne metallics! The champagne makes a BEAUTIFUL highlighter! The blues are too similar & they are the ones that are dull but I know they are affected by age because I don't remember them being like this. 1 is basically matte now! Another mainstream brand concept palette. Let me know if you want to see something like this for other brands! Anyway, the new Endangered Cosmetics Turtle Palette reminded me to finally finish this half-finished mockup of a Tarte turtle palette. I never talk about Tarte, because their products don't interest me, but I actually love all of their Rainforest of the Sea packaging. Anything nature theme gets to me and I love the aqua and purple packaging with metallic accents. Turtles are also my favorite animals. So the packaging of the High Tides And Good Vibes Palette is just absolutely stunning to me. That's why I wanted to do another version of it. The original is warm peachy/orange shades mixed with blues. I think the color combination of green/pink/purple is totally underutilized in eyeshadow palettes, it's interesting but wearable at the same time, which is why I chose it for this palette.
