So the other day I had a talk with the children about believers being the church and my daughter asked that if the church is the people who come together to fellowship why then do we say “let's go to church, referring to the location and not the fellowship with other people 🤔😆. So I had to rephrase that to “let's go fellowship with other believers. The bible says “ So then you are no longer strangers and aliens [outsiders without rights of citizenship], but you are fellow citizens with the saints (God's people) and you are [members] of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the [Chief] Cornerstone, in whom the whole structure is joined together, and it continues [ to increase] growing into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, set apart, and sacred to the presence of the Lord]. The greatest expectation in our prayers should be to receive God. When you pray with your full heart, mind, soul and spirit in tune with His will you will be given Jesus. Whatever the specific request you are making - you will receive Jesus in return- every time! End stop - Jesus is the answer to every prayer we pray. This is the guarantee: When you come to Jesus in prayer you will become more like Him and be endowed with a greater portion of His Spirit. The fact that we do see healings, deliverance, miracles and signs and wonders when we ask in His name is because with the “outflow of Him in you” comes the works of the Spirit. 😳 We live in a culture that tells us to fake it til you make it! Cover up so you can show up!! 😳 Well guess what!! I got up later than expected, got my family fed, started the dish washer, washed up my boys, brushed Cam’s teeth, brushed their hair, ironed clothes, dressed the little one, helped Norris put on shoes, tried to break up a verbal fight (😳Cam was not backing down!!), and all before I could start getting myself prepared! 🤦🏾♀️ So No! I did not wear make up to Church today! And yes!! I put my lotion on in the car!! And yes!! I was 15 minutes late for church!! And anybody that knows me, knows how undone I felt (I like to keep it together 💁🏾♀️), But guess what!! 🗣️ I Made it!! & I didn’t miss my word from God!! I received my love letter from the lover of my soul!!! I got my answer to my prayer! 🗣️ LISTEN!! Sometimes we’ve got to just MAKE IT!! Sometimes we gotta just SHOW UP!! Ok! Where does leadership have a dance battle at church to prove a point about Christian discipleship? At @lifechurchgo ! The dance of being a disciple and making disciples. Think about the rhythm of how you must move...the connectedness with your partner (God) in dancing... or, like in a dance battle, the healthy competition to perform and win (souls!). (Preparation. #Evangelism. GO!) Sooooo this is what I got from the "No Kid, No Play" message! (Inclusive of the intro to 12 Areas of Focus for What It Means To Be A Disciple) 🙏🏽 We started church service with a beautiful praise and worship by the #praiseteam and then prayer by Rev. Dr. @mauriceowallace 🙌🏽 I'm grateful for my pastor, @damarcus_a_johnson He will LITERALLY sweat and "get uncomfortable" for the work that he is called to in ministry. He & Rev. THE MIC was so good! There is nothing like a live band, amazing talent, and a crowd that shows up to have a good time! We had spoken word, rap, singing, instrumentalist, and a great atmosphere! We are a five generation church with integrated generational experiences! The room had toddlers and seniors!
