Hi Sis! I’m Jen Grant, a local mom, friend and entrepreneur. I never in a million years expected to be in a position to share a story like mine, but here we are. Recently, just as we were about to embark on the empty nest stage of life, my sweet husband suddenly passed away from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The life that we had was shattered in less than two weeks time. I’m still steadying my feet and often tell people don’t mind me if I spontaneously combust mid conversation. Grief is powerful like that. Although nothing like losing your spouse of 22 years, I do have experience facing significant challenges. I served on the Newcastle Elementary School District Board of Trustees and was President during a particularly challenging time in our community. I also have many years of recovery work from codependency and my husband’s battle with sobriety. Despite this, we built a beautiful life together and raised three wonderful children. Marriage and family has been a source of immense joy and fulfillment for me. Work has also been a source of healthy pride. We own a successful plumbing company together specializing in water heaters where I managed the behind the scenes operations and my husband was front and center. I am determined to carry on the legacy we created for our family, beautiful community, dedicated employees, and cherished clients. Our passion has always been to make a positive impact on people, serving them and loving them well, and that, as CEO, remains my driving force. I also take great pride in the recovery meeting that my husband and I initiated, which continues at our home and has grown to touch lives even outside of our state. With determination, passion, and gratitude for the life I've had, I will continue to embrace the opportunities ahead. The way I view my life now is that God has not taken me home yet, therefore I must still have a purpose and work to do for Him, and He very well likely still has work to do on me. Are you tired of making excuses all the time? Well, that used to be me! I was the queen of finding excuses for everything in life. You name it, I had used it. Whether it was blaming the world around me, my finances, or just feeling constantly drained, I always had an excuse ready not to do what I was meant to do. But then, I made a decision to take control of my life and ditch the excuses. Sure, we all have those days when we're feeling down and unmotivated and not wanting to do anything but sit on the couch. I still have those days too but then I get up and don't let those days hold me back from doing what I want. I do things on my own terms, when I want to do them. I decided to surround myself with people who inspire me and make me feel good about myself. Finding the online community of like minded people has helped me see a different perspective on life. There was a time, not so long ago, in which I *thought* that the harder I worked, the more successful I would be, the harder I worked the more money I would make… In fact I took pride in this… that I had such a strong work ethic, that I was willing and capable of spending 8-10 hours a day on the water taking people paddle boarding, that I could teach one private yoga lesson after the next - 5 or more yoga students a day, packing my lunch on the go and eating in my car… That I was able to earn a solid income through my direct efforts for close to 30 years ‼️ But when I realized how much I was actually sacrificing, and when I realized that this way was so NOT in alignment with my core values, and when I realized that this masculine way of earning money and ‘making a living’ was not only not sustainable but not even giving me the results or the life that I desired, I had to dig deep inside myself and begin to unravel and release sooooo many ingrained patterns and beliefs… It’s a process… Of softening Of receiving Of allowing Of TRUSTING And of knowing that in fact, the more fun I have the more money I make… The more I step into and embrace my feminine, honoring my body, honoring my cycles, honoring my SELF, the more success and abundance flows into my life, with ease and grace… There is a different way, sisters. And it’s available to all of us, An entirely new paradigm… That we get to co-create TOGETHER. Are you ready? 2023 is a vibe. Can you feel it? I’ve been connecting with and calling in so many soul aligned sisters to create massive income and impact in the online space.. it’s so freakin exciting !! ✨✨🔥 …So that we can go out and live beautiful and inspired offline lives. 👏 I’ve also been connecting with many women who want this so badly for themselves but have yet to find a way out of no way. 👎 I get it. ❤️ I’m turning 50 in 4 months. 😱 This is not my first rodeo. And whether it be wealth creation or health and fitness or intimate relationships or raising children - I’ve been through my share of massive difficulty in all of these areas (and then some). And still navigating some seemingly insurmountable obstacles in certain areas of my life. Our @sisterhood.collective gathering this past weekend has left me in ahhhh. I feel like this gathering in particular was held at the perfect time, with the perfect panel of speakers releasing words of encouragement from the stage that our community needed to hear. I witnessed breakthrough, tears and deep belly laughter. All of it was food for our souls. The businesses that partnered with us was some of my favorite to date. Each woman so unique and creative. The quality of people in the room inspired me on a deep level. Our theme for the evening if I were to sum it up was this…. Get into a habit of asking yourself…. “Does this support the life I’m trying to create?” If whatever you’re questioning is a no, release it & continue moving forward. From my whole heart, the biggest thank you to the women who joined our first Sisterhood Sunday. It was more profound than I had ever expected, I had to sit with myself for a moment to take it all in when the women had left. I had a vision four years ago to create a space for women to come together, learn & grow by sharing our stories & our journeys with one another.
