On the way to Rudugaira Peak .. we ended up with a speed hike till Nala camp and back to Base .. surprisingly clear meadows with no trace of snow upto 4200 meters.. with damaged tent and no options we planned for a speed hike of around 20 kms on this day . Views of Gangotri III, Jogin I are visible after a few kms .. it’s a sight to behold .. we end up crossing the Rudugaira stream which flows along the route and we cross multiple glaciers on the way .. Nanda Ghunti is a 21,000 ft. high, majestic Himalayan peak in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand state, India. It lies on the outer rim of the Nanda Devi Wildlife Sanctuary. It is considered a difficult peak by the mountaineering and climbing community. In fact, prior to the year 1947, all efforts to scale Nanda Ghunti were abject failures. But eventually, a Swiss mountaineering team was able to ascend this peak with great difficulty in the year 1947. Travellers get a clear view of Nanda Ghunti and Trishul en route to the mysterious Roopkund Trek in the Himalayas. The Roopkund kund trek is itself an errie and myterious hike that is not for the faint of heart and must only be carried out by the brave.
