The final weekend of Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Rooms at Tate Modern. I liked the ideas of glimpses into eternity, disorientation, immersion into other-worldliness, a space containing and expanding life. I wondered whether anyone cared. After all, I joined everyone else taking videos and selfies. The theme-park like queuing system didn’t help. Ok da last Shangai post 😭😭😭 . teamLab Borderless Shanghai was TOO LIT - the Tokyo one is more immersive of the elements (wading thru water, live plants, outdoor rock garden, etc), but the mere lack of people at the Shanghai one made it feel private although eerie 🤨 legit thought it was closed when we arrived . My cousin got a deal on 大众点评 for two tickets, which came w a free tea tasting (1st pic), and souvenir postcards 🍵🎴 so OK I guess it literally pays to understand Chinese 🙂↕️ . 🫖 Tea tasting where the flower is fully bloomed when served, and would gradually wither away with each sip ❈ Cousin in the infinity room!! Which made me kinda nauseous and dizzy!!! 🌺 Hallways of this print on repeat 🌊 Ok this room was LIT because the art started as water, and then gradually became sunflowers and other flowers 🔮 This room had all these lit up orbs rolling around on tracks (ya that’s it) 🌀 The main entrance!!
