El filme, fue rodado en en Lutz, un pueblo al este de Tampa en Florida. Aunque se desarrolla principalmente en un solo lugar, el logro artístico de la película requirió una preparación intensiva. Utilizando muy poco CGI, Burton se apoyó en los departamentos de diseño para convertir un vecindario real en su propio estudio privado, un proceso que duró meses y que exigió coordinación y cooperación constantes. Los anónimos suburbios de color caramelo de la película, con sus nítidos céspedes verdes y sus imponentes topiarios, resultaron ser un festín visual. Más que un simple paisaje uniformado en colores pastel, la estética táctil e indeleble le dio al cuarto largometraje de Burton una aguda crítica social, que sigue siendo igual de distinta y abrumadora 30 años después. #edwardscissorhands #timburton #scenography

Together with her lab and @mirkobischofberger, INT Studio has created “Goldrush”, a game composed of five interactive stations combining physical principles with digital interfaces. It raises awareness among youth about the unsustainable nature of today's extraction practices behind precious and critical metals like gold through five steps: Station 1: Unlock the gold in your pocket Station 2: The X-ray scanner Station 3: Disassembly with Goldy Station: 4: Chemical extraction Station 5: Your gold nugget After having been exhibited at @glattzentrum in Zurich last summer and at @swissnexsf in San Francisco (in a stand-alone tablet version) for its 25 years anniversary last autumn, the project will be open again next week at @epflcampus / Rolex Learning Centre in a slightly adapted setup. Please come to try it at EPFL until 19 May 2024! The goal of the game is to collect and recycle as much gold as possible. The total amount of gold collected by all visitors during the exhibition is displayed at the last station. All stations are grouped around a scenography representing a golden nugget, they highlight the importance of developing new methods for recycling the precious metals contained in electronic waste. For example, station 4 presents the innovative sponges developed by the LFIM laboratory to capture gold particles after they have dissolved. Through his research into historical artefacts, Taiga Takahashi explored older methods of crafting objects which are increasingly being lost in a culture of mass production and fast consumption. In doing so, he formulated a philosophy of making and being which values lasting quality, sustainability, and human connection. In our inaugural exhibition, T.T I-A presents a selection of artefacts from the archive amassed by Taiga Takahashi. These objects,made out of stone, wood, and fabric are celebration of knowledge passed down through generations, and the beauty of natural materials which grow more beautiful as they age. For the duration of the exhibition T.T Gion has been filled with gravel. Raked daily, it creates a contemplative landscape of discovery for visitors who are encouraged to explore the rooms and objects with slow and focused attention.
