We came to the Tibetan colony.」 どうもスパアサの喋る黒子、田中です！ インド珍道中の続き、早速いってみましょー。 3Dカメラでの撮影も終え、さぁお出かけだと思ったら……夕方からステージに来いと言われ…… でもお出かけしたい気持ちを捨てきれず夕方までのタイトな時間の中で楽しいおでかけになるのでしょうか( ⑉¯ ꇴ ¯⑉ ) 午前に撮影終えたとはいえ、お出かけに使える時間は3時間くらい。とりあえず僕らのお世話をしてくれているハマド君に全ておまかせする事に。ホテルに1度戻り、さぁ出発！……とはならず。ちょっとお茶してから行こうぜい、とハマド君。そして楽しそうにお茶をするハマド君。時間ないんだってばー。 でもなんか憎めない可愛い奴です。 でもハマド君、早くして？笑 We will go out with Mr. Hammad as our guide. そんなこんなで昼過ぎにホテルを出る一同。 ハマド君は、お寺に連れてくよ、と。 ほほー。良いね！ みんなワクワクしながら車に揺られてデリーの街並みを眺める。 街並み見てるだけで本当に楽しい。 そして目的地到着。 ん？なんか雰囲気がまた違う。なんだろう。チベットみたいな感じ？かな？？ そうなのです。後に分かったのですがデリーにある「マジュヌカティラ」というチベタンコロニーにハマド君は連れてきてくれたのです。 チベタンコロニーとは簡単に言うとチベットの方々が住む地域。そこはもうチベットそのものなわけです。デリーにいるだけで異文化を感じて楽しんでいる上に、更にデリーの中のチベットというまた異文化に触れる事が出来て興奮しないわけもなく。 ハマド……おぬしやるな。 We came to the Tibetan colony. Many regions experienced record-breaking wildfire activity last year (Greece, Indonesia, Australia, Chile, Russia just to name a few). I also think of my homeland - Madagascar - where wildfire happens regularly but almost 80% is due to human activity there. That’s unfortunate because we’re destroying the ecosystem and contaminating the air with toxic pollutants. Since it’s a serious matter, everyone should be concerned about the danger but it’s not necessarily the case. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how certain things can connect us to a moment from the past. A flower, a food, a smell. Like a line back in time to somewhere warm and familiar. This little pink fuzzy flower used to grow in my grandma’s yard - alongside the driveway at the home my mum and her siblings grew up in. I always admired it walking up the stairs to her front door, and now when I stumble across it in the street it brings me such joy! I simply must stop to take a photo (it’s only just occurred to me that I can actually plant some in my own garden?!). Fun fact: this flower is called “Pinkhead Smartweed”, how great is that!!
