•Hello Crafty Friends• I had a special request from someone for a specific retirement card. A local Veterinarian was retiring and they wanted a bunch of animals. Since I didn't own a stamp set that could accomplish this, I went to Canva and found an image that included all the critters you see (minus the beagle, I added that separately!). I then printed the image out in a light black-and-white filter, grabbed my colored pencils, and went to town coloring! The image came to life and I was able to provide exactly what was requested. My favorite critter on the card happens to be the sheep. I was cleaning up my desk and had my inks stacked and this color combo spoke to me. And then, it said "I wonder what it would look like as an ink swipe?" and after I swiped it and loved it, it said "what about stenciling over the top" and here we are. Welcome to Themed Friday number #25! This month is Focal Point February and this week the Focus is Sentiments! We are hoping to inspire you to let those sentiments shine! (or pop or sparkle) If you are inspired by what all these great creators bring to the theme please be sure to add the #themed_fridays_card_making_fun to your post!! If you’d like to join our fun little group please message @touchofmagik Well, I don't think I have a larger sentiment than this one! I used Altenew's Mega Thanks Die and die cut it out of white card stock for my focal point. I then inked it up with some ink from Simon Says Stamp. I used: Spring Rain, Lake Shores and Maliblue. I adhered 3 of them together and covered it in Wink of Stella! It never gets old! I love the shine! Next, I ink blended a white card front with Simon's Clementine, Melon and Orange Peel. I don't know where this stencil came from---but it is adorable! I used Rose Apple for the flowers! I colored a piece of A2 card stock about one-third of the way with the teal colors. After that, I took a pencil and loosely drew the shapes of the bottom of the letters on the bottom area. I fussy cut the teal sheet then...and adhered the orange flower to the top of the card! It is such a cheerful thank you note! I would love for you to please become a Follower. I have a personal goal of 300 Followers here on Instagram by the end of March! •Hello Crafty Friends• Did you see my YouTube video yesterday? It featured some inky backgrounds using Pawsitively Saturated inks and how much I love to blend with them. Here is a card using my favorite panel from the video. I stamped the florals in embossing ink and then brushed Pearl Powder onto it to give it a ghosted image. I added some white and pearl splatter/spatter to off set a boo-boo that occurred during blending.
