Happy #nationalcoffeeday There’s something extra special about @starbucks reserve in down town PS. I can never visit PS without a quick stop for my usual order and a selfie 😂. It somehow it always tastes better there. This past year I quit my daily coffee habit but I could resist getting a nitro while I was there. Also got to try the Coachella chai and it was 🔥 can’t wait to go back ❤️🔥
Been on a funfetti kick. I switched out the water and oil for milk and butter. Then I made a simple syrup to drizzle on the cooled cakes and finally frosted them with cream cheese frosting. I didn’t bother to cut the tops of the cakes to make it stack even 😂 let the cake rest in the fridge over night and enjoy today after the flavor is have melded together.
Everyone knows I’m a celery juice fiend! Monday through Friday I drink one of these before I head to work. I first started it as a why not let’s see how I feel. What I found is that it has given me so many more benefits than I thought possible. From quitting vaping to tremendously reducing my caffiene in take, to clearing up my skin. My adrenals were shot and I would have 3-4 energy drinks a day. (Yes I know that’s crazy lol) but after just three weeks replacing my morning monster with CJ I no longer needed that much caffiene. It has now become routed in my daily routine. The recommended dose is 16 oz freshly pressed no added fruits or veggies just pure celery. Would you try it?
Here’s to having a rice day 🍚😁 Went up north this weekend and stopped at my favorite banh mi shop. I decided to try a few new items the fried rice was awesome I loved its simplicity and addition of Chinese sausage 10/10. The egg rolls had an excellent crunch and peppery filling. Of course the banh mi was on point as usual!
Y’all this meal knocked my socks off. Everything was delicious, especially my non-alcoholic jasmine grape lemon drink 🤤 Tuna crispy rice, ribs, hamachi, and cauliflower from @ #buzzfeast #carboholic #carbs #spoonfeed #travelingfoodie #bestfoodnyc #manhattan #intakeoverload #insiderfood #eater #eaternyc #foodnetwork
Hit the grill this weekend thanks to @wildforkfoods next day delivery 🔥made fresh tostadas for a yuzu gosha scallop crudo finished with micro Thai basil and evoo. The main was USDA Angus Prime Skirt and omgggg was it insanely tender and juicy. Wild Fork also sells Pan De Quiejo the little cheese balls at the top (I can eat a whole bag of these to myself) they bring me back to childhood I grew up on these 🤤 the spicy pork sausage was also wonderful and of course I had to make some sticky rice and Jeow to make it a fusion 💯💯💯
Been on a tartare kick lately 🤤 I love making this dish it’s super simple and looks elegant. Always choose high quality beef when making beef tartare. Let your butcher know the steak will be eaten raw. They’ll make sure to give you a really fresh, lean steak. Keep the meat refrigerated at all times (besides assembling and serving). I loved the herbiness in the tartare at Bestia so I modified my recipe@to add dill, cilantro, and mint. The base sauce is made with an egg yolk, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, shallots, salt, pepper, capers optional ( I used whole grain mustard) mix and serve 💯
The best sushi in the desert 🏜 is @sandfishsushiwhiskey This spot stands out because of its subtle Scandinavian flavors throughout the menu. Everything is incredibly fresh and flown in. We sat on the outside patio that they have converted with shipping containers as an extension of the restaurant. I love the decor and vibe. Perfect place to start my bday celebrations this past weekend. 1. Scallops on the half shell 2. Salmon and Toro Nigiri 3. The experiment roll (snow crab and tuna) 4. Negihama roll (one of my very fav things to order) 5. Salmon sashimi 6. Kamasu Sawara nigiri
Hung out in the desert 🏜for my 31st this weekend! Had to stop @hunterspalmsprings for some great music and dancing 🕺 I also had the rare opportunity to play with giraffes @thelivingdesert 10/10 experience they are so beautiful! To end the weekend I got some much needed ☀️ at the pool ✨
When life gives you lemons 🍋 go to the lemon festival and have some lemonade 💯 every year downtown upland throws the lemon festival and vendors showcase their awesome goods. I of course was there for the delicious food 🤤 it was extra special this year taking @the_banksy_bear and her momma ♥️
I had the awesome opportunity to attend WEHO Pride @officiallyoutloud this weekend! 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈 Many people do not know that Pride started as a riot against policy brutality in 1969. The LGBTQIA community has made so much progress since then which is why It is so important to celebrate Pride and the work made by those that came before us. It’s also important to be OutLoud to represent those who cannot be and those who are afraid. We are here, we see you, and we love you 🏳️🌈
Fried Catfish and Hushpuppies are the two things I have to have when I visit TN! There’s something extra special about the ones at Hagys. Located with a ebautifum view of the River and nestled in the gorgeous green woods. We ate so fast I didn’t get a picture of my favorite hush puppies 😂😭 A hush puppy is a small, savory, deep-fried round ball made from cornmeal-based batter. Hushpuppies are usually served as a side dish with seafood and fried foods. Decadent and delicious 🤤 I did manage a pic of the cornmeal breaded catfish and classic Hagy salad.
Fight stress from the inside out. Floating is the opposite of intake overload, its almost the total elimination of intake. In a world where we are overrun with sources of intake that stress our minds and bodies floating is the technology that will balance our state of overload. Finally got my hands on Trader Joe’s Ube Pancake mix. I wanted to try it for the last two years it’s been released and finally I got a box! I have to say it was good but not my absolute favorite. I was hoping for a chewy Mochi texture which it had but it was more of a hybrid mochi with regular flour leaving it a bit off for me. Worth trying once or twice 👍
If you’re in the IE you need to visit the farmers market in Terra Vista on Saturdays! @heritagefarmersmkt I go almost every Saturday to get my fix of @drinkcoastalcane freshly pressed cane juice. And of course I get my fix of other delicious goodies like bacon wrapped hot dogs, elote, and tamales from the other awesome vendors.
Stackem stackem up 💯 I always order two McMuffins and make one megamuffin. This time I also ordered some chicken McGriddles and I have to say they were really tasty. I did pop the chicken back into the airfryer to make it crunchy. @mcdonalds is always nostalgic for me. Who else had a happy meal snack maker as a 90s kid?
Made some sushi this weekend after a visit to @hmartofficial 🤤 got my favs salmon and yellowtail. This time I used some yuzu gosha 🔥 highly recommend this condiment with yellowtail it’s insanely tasty. For the handrolls I did a combo yellowtail and salmon with shallot and tobiko with some kewpie to make it creamy. 10/10 def try making sushi at home. Just remember when making your rice to wash it several times I did about 7-8 rinses.
Pride Month is almost here 🌈🌈🌈 Let’s continue to make progress 🙏 growing up and throughout my college years queer representation was often cases chastised. I remember rejecting who I truly was for so long that it almost killed me. Queer representation makes an impact. To be able to identify with others around you is, the desire for social connection, the ability to know you aren’t alone. I am so happy to see that there is growing queer representation in the media and across social platforms. We have come a long way and still have much progress left to be made. “it is so important because it marks the start of huge change within the LGBT+ community, as well as the wider societal implications. Although attitudes and injustice still remain, we have come a long way since the riots of 1969 and by continuing in this long standing tradition we continue to raise awareness, improve the attitudes of society and encourage inclusiveness”. -awareness days.com #Pride2022
I’ve been on a celery kick for the past few months. Juicing it daily and drinking it on an empty stomach. I started doing this at Tony Robbins suggestion. I figured why not give it a shot. This opened my mind to listening to @medicalmedium I was skeptical at first but I did it anyway. I went from drinking 2-3 monsters and 1-2 coffees daily and vaping constantly to no Caffiene no nicotine. I have more energy and endurance for the gym 💪 and my skin is so much clearer. Ive been doing it so much many of my friends and fam have switched to the CJ lifestyle lol. I swear it’s life changing. If you want a change give this a shot let me know how you feel 😊
Got my hands on my fav banh mi this past week. Took a trip up to Central Valley. Everytime I go I have to make a pit stop at Huong Lan 9. Their banh mis are so special because of the fresh baked bread, house made mayo that’s unmatched in deliciousness, and of course the delicious and generous fillings. Pro tip: I always ask for fried egg in my special #11
Im officially addicted to @allgoodles it has 15 grams of protein per 1 cup serving, 6 grams of fiber, prebiotics to support gut health, and 21 nutrients from organic plants! The flavor is fantastic and so much better than regular box mac. Goodles also is more than just a healthier max they celebrate doing good from small to large acts of kindness. And if that’s not enough reason to try how about the fact that @gal_gadot is a founding partner 😍😍😍 🌈🌈🌈
Needed a proper breakfast 💯 @eatpropergood is oatsome with their delicious steel cut oats with chia and flaxseed. I loveeed the texture and the fact I got in a great serving of omega 3s. It’s ready to eat right out of the bag just warm up in the microwave or on the stove top. I loveeeee the spoon the kit comes with it’s so cuteeee ♥️
