SPECIES IN FOCUS: THE BEAKED COMMON DOLPHIN.🐬 A Female Common Dolphin and her calf. It's rare to take a trip off Ireland's South West and not encounter our most frequently spotted cetacean, The Beaked Common dolphin. This wonderful species are year round residents off our South Westerly coast and can often be seen surfing the bow wave at the front of a boat, breaching and generally enjoying themselves in the water. These speed merchants are distinguished by the flash of light colouring that runs up their sides. They love to perform acrobatics in and out of the water, always to the tremendous joy of those watching on. Come see them for yourself. hi Cork! Unser erster stop war Cork City! Fast zwei Tage haben wir in einem ausgestorbenen Hostel über einer Bar verbracht. Cork hat uns überrascht und unsere Erwartungen übertroffen - als Irlands zweitgrößte City hatten wir nach drei Wochen das erste mal wieder etwas Stadtleben 🏙 Das Hostel war zugegeben etwas merkwürdig (Rougey Lodge in Bundoran kann niemand toppen!), aber super zentral gelegen und der perfekte Ausgangspunkt um die Stadt zu erkunden. Nach der zweiten Nacht sind wir über Kinsale (bekannt für seine gute 5-Sterne-Küche) auf dem Wild Atlantic Way die Südküste entlang gefahren (gibt da mehr Palmen als alles anderes).
