Inishbofin Island, Galway Why not take a trip out to Inishbofin Island for a real taste of island life! Also known as the “island of the white cow” , the island is 8km long by 3km wide and has a population of 200. It is located 10km west of the gorgeous village of Cleggan and reached by taking a 30 minute ferry ride from here. Inishbofin boasts a rich history, spectacular scenery , award winning beaches and crystal clear waters. Island visitors can witness some of Connemara’s best preserved heritage, Bronze Age landscapes, Cromwell’s 17th century star shaped fort , ancient churches and burial grounds and a 7th century monastery . Westport, Co. Mayo 📍 My first time being here and honestly it surpassed all of my expectations! Such a pretty, well kept town and the shops🥰😍 some of the most beautiful shops I've ever seen with unique arts and crafts..I could spend all day meandering through them all! Pádraic has been here twice before on stags so he was well versed on the pubs around the town (I was very well behaved!) Our hotel is the wesport plaza located on castlebar Road and its bang in the middle of town with ample parking. Literally sailed right in and settled in very nicely! Staff have been wonderful, offering recommendations and advice on where to eat etc..just a lovely time so far! Covey's restaurant was highly recommended by you all so we booked in and we were not disappointed...food was excellent and the cocktails were👌🏼🍸 I'll let loose a bit more after the 10km so watch this space🤣 Love this place!
