Cowboy Henk is a cult cartoon character drawn by Belgian artist, comedian and piano tuner - and a bunch of other stuff - Peter Van Heirseele aka Herr Seele. This 2006 jaguar xj8 came in for a slew of headlight problems. Cracked housings, dead ballasts, and janky wiring. Luckily, our friends @custom.bracket.designs let us know the projector is the same Valeo projector as a 2015-2019 Silverado! So we used their conversion bracket and bypassed the factory ballasts to convert it to Bi-LED. Our P1 projector bolted up with minor trimming and is easily swapped out the back. No baking required! Our drop in led bulbs matched perfectly in the fogs and our amber led parking lights finished off this headlight conversion. My best liked post so far is one from last month, a Bentley Flying Spur of the present generation. Will this 2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur 🇬🇧 get picked up as well? Probably not. Ah well, who cares, as long as you and I are enjoying this 560 hp 6 litre W12 super saloon. I had to park in a spot reserved for medical doctors - which I am not - to get next to it. A few days later I spotted this same Bentley where an X350 XJ6 used to be, I wonder if this could be the replacement. If so: very worthy indeed. And funny that the engine is exactly twice the size of the 3 litre V6. (The Jaguar didn't change owners though. Second car maybe? Is it a 1992 Opel Lotus Omega 🇩🇪? A Lotus Opel Omega 🇬🇧🇩🇪? Opelotus, maybe? Or just a Lotus Omega 🇬🇧? (Or a Lotus Carlton for that matter.) And if so: is it or is it not eligible for #teutonictuesday? Noone really knows. (Well, someone does, probably.) Anyway. It's an Omega alright, but with a 3.6 litre straight-six twin-turbo engine, heavily tweaked by Lotus. The car registration database has no idea what to make of it, says it has 150 hp. More like 377, or so Wikipedia claims, and a top speed of 283 kmh. 0 to 100 should take 5.4 seconds. The British government wanted it banned because it outran every police car imaginable. @frankgoedhart.octane borrowed the car from @visscherclassique and took it to Octane Classics & Coffee to put on display in the super saloon themed paddock. He also moved it at the end of the event to enable me to park the Jaguar next to it. O exemplar das fotos é representante da segunda safra do modelo (1986 – 2003), já com o facelift que ocorreu em 1997, carroceria conhecida pela sigla X308. Debaixo do capô, a carroceria X308 oferecia apenas opções V8, 3.2 ou 4.0, com potência variando entre 240 e 370 cavalos, a depender da versão e país onde foi oferecido. O câmbio era sempre automático de 5 marchas. No total, foram 126.260 XJ carroceria X308 produzidos, nas mais diversas e diferentes configurações e nomenclaturas (Sovereign, Daimler, Vanden Plas...). Nose to nose with the 404 in the wilderness from a while ago is this 1978 Opel Kadett 🇩🇪 to honour #teutonictuesday. There's a badge on the front fender, but I can't read it. Should have focused on that when I was there. Apparently it changed owners last September, but doesn't have a valid APK since October 2016. In the street where my daughter lives I parked in front of this 2003 Peugeot 406 Coupé 🇫🇷 with a 138 hp 2 litre 4-cylinder engine. The Pininfarina design could use a more jolly colour if you ask me, like bleu de chine or something, but still charming. On pictures 7 and 8 you can see a lovely Saab 9³ X 🇸🇪 or whatever passing. About seven and a half minutes earlier I was driving in front of that same Saab, but then I lost it when it took a right turn (and I didn't). I would have gladly parked the Jaguar next to that one as well, so I had something for #wannabesuvweek next week. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Its been a while since I’ve posted the JAG as of when I started this account it was meant to be dedicated to that one car as it was originally planned as a show and stance car but never got around to doing it. Long story short the gray rx8 came along as a replacement, then the rotary bug got me.
