We had no idea whether it would go ahead or in what form, my bride and I did the hair and make up trial the day before! I now have 5 “wedding date” columns on my spreadsheet. I did 7 weddings last year (lilac) and 2 weddings were done by one of my pro artists (pink). There are 102 other Brides on my spreadsheet, some have postponed up to 5 times so far. Some have multiple dates held in my diary. Most still need trials done before the wedding date. I can’t express on here the crippling anxiety I have when trying to sort through my diary and bookings when there still is no certainty or roadmap for weddings to reopen. (believe me we are working incredibly hard campaigning the gov to change this urgently! @whataboutweddingsofficial #standupforweddings #whataboutweddings) I’m being a flexible as I possibly can with all my brides! I have an amazing pro team that come along to large weddings with me and do weddings when I am unavailable. Please please to make my life just a tiny bit easier could you make sure that you contact me BEFORE confirming any new postponement dates! Please let me know as soon as you decide that you don’t need 1 or more of the dates you have held in my diary so that I can release it and potentially give it to someone else. I am hopeful that the vaccination program will go well and that by spring we will see weddings happening and I (and all my colleagues in weddings and hair/beauty) will be able to work and actually earn a living again. But please know that not earning an income for nearly a year is the most stressful situation I have ever been in. It has broken me. Today is the start of the Bossed it Bootcamp with April-Joy Serrant . Journalling is something I've thought about previously but never done anything about it. April has her own training company @AJS Training Solutions and I've attended several of her training sessions in the past which have been so beneficial. She is motivating, encouraging, positive and brilliant at her job - she loves a good quote which i do too and i could honestly listen to her voice all day. April is running this bootcamp completley FOC and you don't have to be a "business person" or network marketer to benefit from this. Its somewhere I've been probably 30 times - we first went when i was 11 and then started returning when i was 20 We've met so many lovely people over the years and i think we've been every single year since the kids were born (sometimes twice in a year) Sounds a bit corny i know but when i land at Chania airport i feel like I'm home and the kids love it too... Moving with the times.... As from Thursday im having to close AGAIN for a minimum of 4 weeks which will be the Xmas run up that ill be missing out on as no bugger wil be going on xmas parties 😬 So aswell as my FM I've decided to have a little dabble in the body shop at home as a little alternative for my customers who want something a little different to what FM offer. This song came on when i turned the radio on when getting into my car after leaving Wheatfields Hospice where my auntie passed away. That day i drove home in tears but happy tears because of the words in this song - i felt like she was talking to me through the song (I know some people dont believe in all this so at this point i know your thinking "she's lost the plot " 😬🤣) I absolutely ❤ music and like loads of different genres from 80's songs through to meatloaf, def leppard, carpenters plus, dance plus lots more. I love listening to the words and with most songs you can relate the lyrics to the way your feeling. My first Bride of 2020! I should have done 75+ weddings by now but COVID-19 had other ideas! You have to read this in full if you working in weddings, you are planning a wedding or if you just care about people! We need a CLEAR ROADMAP of how weddings can open up!! We need additional financial help for suppliers who cannot work due to restrictions.
