Late September, I took a trip on the Disney Cruise 🚢 to Cabo San Lucas with my family and we had a blast! I was a bit worried to go in a cruise during a pandemic (a valid worry for most, I would say), but I was relieved to find out all passengers (of vaccination age) needed to show proof of vaccination. 💉Woo hoo! Possibly my favorite out of all the sketches I did at Disneyland. 💗 I felt like I accomplished a big goal here by grabbing an empty chair underneath the Palm Parlor sign on Main Street and sketching comfortably in the shade. . Sketching in Disneyland has been on my bucket list for a while (see my reference to it in my Disney Top Ten lists from 2019 that helped kick off this account). . So yesterday I took a trip to Disneyland and did just that… I sketched until my heart was happy and my hands were too cold to sketch anymore. . The Mark Twain Riverboat is one of the best attractions at Disneyland for a nice, relaxing ride and it was a fun challenge to sketch while my subject matter was moving. Greatest Of All Time. 🐐🧨🚂 . I was reading about BTMR and I started thinking that it’s necessary to dedicate a week or two (or more) to all the amazing attractions that came out of Tony Baxter’s brain. (Tony Baxter is a former Disney imagineer for those of you who may not know… but I’m assuming many of you already knew that so let’s move on…) . The man is a legend and I know the few times I’ve seen him randomly in Disneyland or at D23, I have wanted to thank him for all his work. It’d be such a nerdy thing to do and I’m absolutely positive I’d try to say something funny and instead it’d come out incredibly awkward. 🤪 I’ve heard he’s super nice too….
