Pickup swap, rewire and setup on @rotosound_uk 10s for this @vintageguitars_official V6 reissue series model. Customer wanted some pots that had more usable taper and also worked in the turn direction that feels more natural to him. So in went some CTS reverse/left handed audio taper 250k pots, CRL 5 way blade switch, .047uF SoZo mustard cap, pure tone jack and Gavitt wire alongside a set of left handed pole stagger Tone Rider pickups. Just some reverse number knobs would be the ice on the cake. Sounding and working much nicer it has to be said. Setup wise it really wasn’t bad at all from it’s prior adjustments, but a few little refinements with the fret ends dressed, a couple of high spots sorted and subtle adjustment revisions hopefully have it playing even nicer for it’s owner who kindly travelled a few hours to bring this to me 🖤

For the past 2 weeks, Caleb Seals, the meet director in Ramona, has been a game-changer in addressing a major issue in track and field equality: the advantage of favorable wind conditions for right-handed athletes and the disparity of opportunities for left-handed athletes (If you’re right-handed, we know you don’t care, but acknowledge at least 🤣). In these contests, I achieved distances of 65.43m, 65.74m, and 69.16m. Despite facing challenges like a bulged disc back injury in October, and only 13 weeks of consecutive training this season, I’ve persevered. But it makes me wonder what my numbers could be in ideal conditions, while in top shape and health! 🤯 Thinking of fellow left-handed athletes whose talents are often overlooked due to unequal conditions, I can’t help but feel the disparity. Most venues in America scout wind patterns and build venues that cater to right-handed athletes, we’re changing that narrative. Even Hammer throw legends like Lance Deal have felt the impact of wind conditions, prompting a shift in disciplines. It’s no surprise that only 3 left-handed athletes have crossed the 65-meter mark in 40 years - the struggle is real. Despite being in 70m form in 2018, 2019 (w/ torn labrum, hip), and 2021 (w/ a 67.82m performance despite a torn pec surgery), my seasons didn’t reflect my true potential, partly due to competing in unfavorable conditions. In 2018, I finally had at least a headwind, where I threw 68.61m to win the US championship, but it’s frustrating to have seen those distances and more in training all season. Finally experiencing what it’s like to be right handed, even in just one location, is a step in the right direction for left-handed athletes like me. 😉 Big shoutout to Caleb Seal and Throw Town Ramona for evening the playing field and providing a venue that benefits left-handed athletes as well. Multiple rings at a venue are rare, making this one of the few places in the world where it’s possible. So this is what I do, I take ordinary pencil crayons and an ordinary pencil case that you can pick up at any stationary shop. I then make something unique I personalise them with name / date / special icon. Every pencil is stamped by hand the old fashioned way. I even stamp according to hand preference so the text can be read the right way up when holding the pencil in their hand. Here we have left handed pencils hand stamped by myself in gold foil. Jasper is a superhero and loves Batman! I added a zip pull matching name tag 3D printed in gold PLA+. I love making bespoke gifts and matching our cases to our icons wherever possible. 日本語ってほんと難しい。 日本の一年生でやる内容ってとても大事だなぁと思ってます。 日本語はもういいや…としてしまう海外住みのご家庭もあるけれど、 うちは、“優れなくていいから、同級生と同程度は習得してほしい”と思っています。 （基礎しっかりやっとけば、あと伸びするかなという安易な考え…😅） 弟も兄とお揃いのチャレンジタッチになりました💓 おばあちゃんにメールしたり、 課題を終わらせてミニゲームをしたり。 今まで兄しかできなかったことを自分もできるようになって、 喜んでいます✨ 🟨中受は今のところ考えてない 🟨日本語の勉強は今の年齢なら、楽しく、基礎をしっかり（応用はオプションでよい。ほんとはやりたいけど💦） 🟨海外なのでオンライン更新が便利（紙テキスト送付は手間） 🟨チャレンジタッチが自分でできなかったら、公文に通うことを約束してる（世界中にあるなぁ公文。台湾にも香港にもあります） 🟨チャレンジイングリッシュは基本やらない。オンライン授業も見ない（子供が勝手にやったら、それはそれ） こんなで、うちはチャレンジタッチに落ち着いています。 教科書にめちゃめちゃ沿ってやってくれるので、 とても助かっています。 半年に一度？くらいのペースでいただける紙の復習テキストなどは、長期休みにやります。 ほんとはもっとやった方が良いんだろうけど… 英語と中国語も少しずつやり、 運動系習い事もやると これがうちの精一杯です💦 兄と違って、 やり始めるまで泣いてる（兄はとりあえず始めはする） やり始めたらスラスラすぐ終わらせる（兄は集中力がなくなかなか終わらない） 性格違ってサポート方法も違いますね😅 とりあえず日本の一年生スタート🌸❗️頑張って欲しいです❗️ #小学校 #小学校準備 #チャレンジタッチ #コラショと小学校スタート #dwekids #dwe #dweユーザー #dweユーザーさんと繋がりたい #バイリンガル子育て #バイリンガル育児 #バイリンガル育児ママさんと繋がりたい #bilingualkids #バイリンガルキッズ #トリリンガル #トリリンガル子育て #トリリンガル育児 #おうち英語 #おうち英語している人と繋がりたい #おうち中国語 #中国語勉強してる人と繋がりたい #海外生活 #海外駐在 #海外在住 #海外育児 #海外子育て #左利き #lefthanded #lefty #左撇子
