Yunhan played the @uskidsnj local tour at Princeton Country Club today. He has been suffering some swing problems recently and was not able to deliver some good results. He still made a lot of mistakes like driving the ball to the 4 green side bunker and made some bad bunker shots. Very happy to see him manage to keep cool the entire round and shot a 37(+1). ⛳️ Today I finished my very first State Invitational! Nevada put together a fantastic competition, and there were so many talented players. Once again I played with a really nice group of girls, parents, and a coach! Adelyn flew down from Colorado, and Macy was local. 🤩 It must have been Opposite Day, because I had opposite strengths and weaknesses from day 1. 🤔Weak irons, but strong putting and strong mental game. 👑 I rallied for the last four of five holes and brought my game back. I’m proud of that. My best hole AGAIN was the last, a par 5, when I birdied due to sheer determination to kill off a stroke at the end. 💪🏼 📣 Congrats to my friend @teagan_tudla who secured the championship with phenomenal play. 🏆 Thank you to Coach TJ, Macy’s caddie, @zonegolfacademy for being so wonderful to play with and talk to, and a big hug to my new friend @golfburke who flew in from Newport Beach for the invitational. I’ve been putting in some extra time trying to improve my short game over the last two weeks and it is starting to pay off. I added three new wedges and a new putter to my set and been working on getting comfortable with them. I’ve played in two tournaments and placed 4th and 3rd. First time for my grandparents to see me play golf competitively. I regret that I resorted to have an emotional meltdown on the 8th hole after I drove from the tee and hit it on the far right and on the rough with a very bad lie, esp when I was leading. I gave away 4 strokes, but I managed to pull myself together and ended the 9th hole with a par save. Lesson learned. I have to learn to be an up and down machine. No matter how bad my shot was I have to focus on how to recover. Another weekend, another tournament, another great display from my juniors. 1st- Oliver Hollo, 11 yrs old. We started on hole 10 both days. Scorecard is next 2 photos. He was +8 in his first 4 holes. He bounced back and was -1 for the rest of the round getting it back to the 70s. Round 2 was a great day for him. He had 5 birdies. The awesome part, easily could have been 8 or 9 cuz he missed a few 5 footers. He was throwing darts today! 2nd- Hudson. His scorecard doesn't do him justice. He's pure and we are learning some new stuff with wedges and ball flight. Watch for him a top the leaderboard at world's in July! He's gonna make noise! 3rd - Benny. Dude is straight on fire. Dug himself in a hole in Rd 1 in the world's qualifier with the SNJGA but we put together a game plan for today to climb the leaderboard and he striaght executed! Then he made it to a playoff. Watching the roundings at @hurricanejrgolf was fun. Playing golf with @cjc1562 , young player, is always a pleasure to watch. Isaac’s driver wasn’t very good. Our new shaft arrived two days ago, but Isaac hasn’t yet gotten along with it. Throughout the round, we lost two balls, and Isaac frequently missed his driver strokes into the trees. The fairway was quite narrow, encircled by dense woods and bunkers. It was difficult to select the proper club in the windy conditions when we played on Long Island course. Played in @uskidsgolf_lasvegas Nevada State Championship this weekend and placed 5th out of 18, scoring a 77 and 73. I tried my best to climb to 3rd place but came up a couple shots short. This was my lowest 2 day tournament score of 150 and I shot my lowest 9 hole score of 33 (-3), which are accomplishments I’m proud of. Enjoy my Hightlights from my round yesterday from the @southernoaksgolf Showcase with @txjrgolf . I shot a 36 even par round on the front 9 with a pretty clean card. The back nine +3, 39 wasnt’t as clean but the Birdie on the 18th was a nice finish. I drove the length of the green (360 yards) on the 18th with the help@of the cart path. 😉🤣 Check out the flop shot and birdie putt. ❤️👍🏼. I shot a +3 = 75 for the Round and tied for 1st with my good friend @avakgolf in the 11-14 Division. In the 11-18 Division I got 6th place. ⛳️ Completed day one of the Nevada State Invitational yesterday in Las Vegas! I played with a really nice group of girls and parents, one who flew in from Indiana and a local girl from Nevada. 🤩 It was my first state championship as a newer golfer, and I learned a ton on day one. My drives were great but my putts were off a bit. We had to leave at 4am for our tee time too, because the drive was long, so I was a little tired. The winds were about 23 mph, and it was a constant adjustment due to the inconsistency of how it was blowing. 👑 My best hole was the last, a par 5, when I birdied by almost driving it onto the green in two shots. 🏌️♂️ Wrapping up an incredible day at the final @uskidsatltour Tournament of the spring season @griffingolfcourse ! 🌟 Lincoln’s performance today was a true testament to his dedication and skill. Despite starting with a bogey on the first hole, he finished strong with a birdie on the last, ending with a score of 37. Though he narrowly missed out on 1st place to his buddy @jakeoconormcguire by just one stroke, Lincoln is incredibly proud of his game. 🏆 Today was especially memorable because Lincoln achieved his goal of shooting below 40 playing up in the 8-year-old division, showcasing his determination and growth. 💪And talk about resilience! Despite a tough bounce on hole 8, he bounced back beautifully with a high flop shot. Plus, navigating the bunkers on the last hole to finish with a birdie?
