Bloom later said in a lengthy post that “non-binary people are not trans!” Earlier today, Bloom continued shedding light on lack of representation at the Met Gala by sharing her experience attending the Gala in both 2017 and in 2021. Both times Bloom describes meeting Vogue Magazine Editor in Chief/Met Gala curator Anna Wintour. The first time, Bloom describes meeting Wintour fondly, however years later in 2021, Bloom shares Wintour declined her hug and only offered to shake her hand. According to Bloom Wintour then rolled her eyes and looked at her in disgust. ~Swipe Bloom ends the open letter by telling Wintour to do better when it comes to representation of trans people. Leyna Bloom is an actress and model who's broken barriers as a trans woman of color — she's the first Black and Asian trans woman to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated's annual Swim issue in 2021.
