Well guys, it’s finally over! Home of a needleworker (too) is finally finished! Stitchy update... This morning I've managed to put almost 500 stitches into 'Rose Hill Plantation' by Little House Needleworks. I have also managed to rechart the word 'Plantation' to say 'House' using the graph paper in my 2024 Book Of Days, so when I'm ready to stitch the words they are now charted and ready to go. This beautiful chart was a gift from Stephanie and Allison of @crossstitchtheglobe and @allisonatthemoment 💗. I started this project back in February of this year and I'm just enjoying stitching it in between all my other WIPs. It is stitched 1 over 2 on 40 count linen by Fiber on a Whim in the colour Affogato. Stitched using the called for Classic Colorworks and DMC thread. The butterfly needle minder was an embellishment gift from my lovely friend Tracy which my partner made into a needle minder for me and I love it. Stitchy start... Okay so I didn't wait long after my last cross stitch finish before starting another project, I blame Sally @flossysewsandgrows 😆💗. Using 40 count Fox and Rabbit linen in the colour Inca. I decided to use what floss I had in stash and after deliberating over various reds I went with DMC 221 because I believe it works best with the pinky reddish modelling in the linen. I just love this small design, I had to start with the beautiful tree and bell. Tackling my stitching slump by adding a couple of threads to every wip til something catches me. My home of a needleworker is so so close to being a finish! There’s just the blue swirly line and the brown border strip to finish. The fabric isn’t showing up the best on this photo. It’s oyster shell by fox and rabbit which is a really subtle pearly purple. It’s absolutely beautiful. I also kitted up and put some threads into one of the patterns I picked up at the charity shops which I’m super excited to share once I’ve done a little more on it. I've seen 'Schoolgirl Lessons' being stitched on Flosstube by some amazing stitchers that I really admire and I had to purchase it as this small stitch will be just perfect to hang in my tiny library room 📚. I’m currently working on one of my non full coverage WIPGO projects this week. So far, it’s going well and I think this is my favorite block of the whole series ( #8 Farm Folk). Fun fact: the last time I did any 2 over 2 stitching was March 4th when I finished Dumbo. It’s been 1 over 1 for FC or 1 over 2 on 40 count ever since. It’s a #salqueens finish! @belushi_stitches and I were stitching this one from February to April and I’m very impressed with myself that I stuck to the plan and got it finished. I love the colours on this one, although slightly disappointed with the lack of variegation in the threads. Well, today I have an FFO! This darling little stitch is “Seasonal Sampler - Spring” by @littlehouseneedleworks and was a recent release as a floss pack 💗 I stitched it on 36 count “Winter Mint” by Atomic Ranch and I did change out all the included Classic Colorworks flosses for Belle Soie silks 😁 (I’ll leave the conversion below👇🏼).
