I fell in love with this pattern on 123 stitch recently and ordered it along with another 4 patterns (let’s pretend I didn’t say in December I wanted to work on getting my WIPS down, I’m a process stitcher okay). . It’s amazing how they speak to us! 💚🌱🗣️Becoming fluent in the language of plants is such a wonderful skill to have as a plant parent. But, it definitely takes time, patience, research and LOTS of trial and error. I still have my L plates on with new plant species I’m not familiar with 🕵️♀️🪴✨ Whenever one of my plants seems unhappy, I ask myself two questions: 1) Firstly, am I meeting its basic care needs? Is it getting the right balance of light, water, soil, and food to match the conditions where it typically grows in the wild? 2) Secondly, what has changed? It was an absolute pleasure to support the wonderful Dr Harpreet Arora on her robotic surgery journey! As a minimally invasive advanced pelvic surgeon with a special interest in urogynaecology, and Dr Arora, a urogynaecologist with a special interest in minimally invasive advanced pelvic surgery, our collaboration stands at the intersection of our complementary skill sets. Our recent session saw Dr Arora successfully perform two robotic Burch colposuspensions, harnessing the advanced articulations and vision provided by the Intuitive da Vinci Xi robot. Too often, I've witnessed tensions between urogynaecology and endogynaecology surgeons, debating the superiority of vaginal versus robotic approaches. The truth is, both methodologies are integral to the minimally invasive toolkit. Fostering functional relationships between these specialties not only enriches our skill sets but also enhances patient outcomes. Harpreet and I, alongside esteemed colleagues Dr Zhuoran Chen, @dr.basg and @drrachelgreen , are proud members of the local organizing committee for the upcoming AGES - Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society Limited Pelvic Floor Symposium in Sydney on July 26th and 27th. Together, our collaborative efforts aim to foster closer connections between our @ages_society and UroGynaecological Society of Australasia counterparts. By curating a diverse program tailored to meet the needs of all attendees, we're committed to directly enhancing patient care through knowledge exchange and professional collaboration. I am also excited to join Dr Arora as faculty for our upcoming preconference workshop on Laparoscopic and Robotic Colposuspension and Sacrocolpopexy in Singapore on 19th June at the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) 49th Annual meeting, where we will continue to share our knowledge with experts from across the globe. As Autism Awareness month comes to an end, I thought I’d post about the one thing that has always brought me comfort which is my is American Girl Doll collection. I have been an avid American Girl doll collector since childhood, 2006 to be exact. Jess who was Girl of the Year at the time was my very first American Girl doll. My love of American Girl dolls only grew when I received my Madison doll for my 11th birthday and she became my favorite comfort object since then. She went everywhere with me for the longest time. I lived 10 minutes away from the American Girl store in Natick growing up and always would get new dolls, doll clothes, doll accessories, doll books, or doll furniture everytime I went to the mall. My American girl collection has grown a lot this past year and even this past month. As an adult with autism, I have been judged throughout my adulthood for having childlike interests including collecting and playing with dolls, but in today’s society more and more adults are into dolls. I’m thankful for all my friends who have supported this special interest of mine and enjoy seeing my collection. Dad, if you ever wonder why I spend a lot of money on dolls and refuse to give away my dolls, it is because I’m not into most things a neurotypical young adult is into. One hundred owls 🦉🖤 Either last year or the year before, I started 100 owls on a polstitches 28 count evenweave in colour Nessie. In December last year I decided I didn’t want to stitch on 28/32 counts with 2 strands anymore so I added my 100 owls into my UFO’s with the plan to adopt it out. I then restarted it on a 40 count linen from fiber on a whim in colour raspberry stitching with one strand. Two weeks ago I saw my original 100 owls when I was planning on packaging it up to post to @charlyfeathers and I just fell in love with it all over again.. I decided I would keep it and stitch it, (sorry Charly 🥲) so now I’m stitching 100 owls twice. Maybe that’s a little crazy but I do love the pattern and the two different fabric colours/counts will create such different results. I have put a few more hours into my green one and made a good start along the border. I really do love this pattern so much. I absolutely love seeing people stitch it! 🖤 . . The resemblance of Mountains to non-human animals & objects + position to water were big determinants of auspicious places to start cities and dig graves. Pyongyang was determined to be one of these, and was the original capital of Korea before The Korean War. Seoul was prob determined to be similar because there’s soooo many mountains here. Where do I even start with dolphin facts? I’ve probably have an encyclopedic worth of knowledge in my long term storage. Dolphins were likely my first special interest in life, dominating my love and attention from at least ages five to sixteen. It’s not necessarily my love for dolphins has faded, but that I’ve grown to enjoy related niches I can more readily sustain. Sans perhaps a handful of special interests, almost all of my special interest in life have been at least tangentially related to dolphins. Dolphins have played an integral role in my life and construction of my character. Any time I get the opportunity to see them again, I feel at peace with myself.
