What a fun day at @cardaddictionofficial on Sunday for the store set championship!🤩🙌🤘 I LOVE the phenomenon of team shirts at these things. The Mad Hatters certainly brought that spirit of community and camaraderie! Walking into round 5 I was in 8th place - and Card Addiction had some excellent prizing for top 8! - but I ended Swiss in 12th. My coach and mentor Ryan at @dlcollectible made me some sweet buttons to give out to those who beat me. The personalization and Launchpad made these more special to me than he probably realizes 🙏 I’ve played @williamh25 several times over the past several months. He usually beats me like he did here today in round 1 but at least I made him earn it😅 A Mad Hatter beat me in round 5. But dang those shirts were awesome! Reminds me of those *un-gangs* of Disneyland with the biker vest aesthetic🤩 And I always love being around @pinthusiasts! The @puppetspark crew was the 1st group of strangers I ever stumbled into playing Lorcana in the parks. That was a magical happy accident! I’m still recovering from the extraordinarily awesome time I had in the parks on Sunday at #AdventurelandDay and the #FoodandWineFestival and have lots of content yet to post! But the absolute highlight was hangin out with these two for a bit! I fell in love with the entire operation over there at @wdwnt over the pandemic and haven’t stopped watching since! @wdwntom and Eric Morton are both an absolute gentleman and a scholar! Got my butt kicked at the $1k that wasn’t one @tier1games today! This is @djspinz. Of course he was at the $5k as well. Lorcanastan met and lost to him one night at @p_laycardsandgames last fall. But really won the day lost in conversation about his idea to do a play and trade meet up at Downtown Disney. No buying or selling - we don’t want it shut down- but both so far were way more fun than I anticipated! For example, at the first meet up I simply traded him an enchanted Shere Khan and he sat there for like 30 mins and completed my chapter two playset while I sat there and enjoyed a wonderful multiplayer game. At the last one we played the most wild 6 person multiplayer yet. All surrounded by beautifully themed space. I’ve always enjoyed hanging out in Downtown Disney, but his proactivity and this wonderful game totally - to use a classic Walt phrase - “pluses” that whole experience. Totally looking forward to the next meet up! But this coming Monday the 26th they’re doing something a little different (*as long as all their product comes this Friday*). $10 entry per player (puts 2 packs into prize pool). Every player gets 1 promo. Every 12 players increases the number of payouts (first 12 1st-3rd for prizing = split a box of Inklands, second 12 prizing through 5th, third 12 through 8th and so on).
