Day 5: Part 4: Huag Mua, Ninh Binh Images and Reflections This morning I awoke early to beat the heat of the sun. I got on my bike and tried to sort out the map of how to get Huan Mua. This started around 6 am. As I rode alongside rice paddies with mountains and Homestays also adorning the Environment, I realized I was going the wrong direction. I stopped at the dead end and saw where I was going in the distance. I pointed to it and the fellow around motioned with his arms to go another way. Well I was a bit deflated as I didn’t know! Headed back to my Homestay and well I did not want to give up. By now the sun was rising and I thought oh god the heat! stopped for a coffee and shared the story with the guy and he showed me another map and directions. I rapidly finished my coconut coffee and got in my bike. Feeling a bit like the witch in the wizard of Oz in her bike and I had a basket in front! I somehow found my way and I was overjoyed. Parked my bike, paid the entry fee and off to my morning climb up the mountain. My quest was set! Walk up 500 steps the top of Lying Dragon Mountain. This was a real task. I started up slowly and huffing and puffing at times. I weaves myself up the stairs to make it less direct and less tiring. The steps are not smooth. They are at times rugged. Different heights, depths and widths with no flat surfaces. Also when you get the top, many are the rocks are so polished they are slippery. Was it worth it? Immensely. Taking one step at a time I was good to go. The view of the valley, the green mountains, the temple, dragon were all spectacular. Following that, I headed back and rested! And the most important part. We were blessed with cloud cover, gentle cool wind and only when I go on my bike to return the sun came out. Jag känner mig lurad på den milda våren. Sedan årskiftet har vi i familjen fått utstå det ena efter det andra virus/infektionerna. Det tar aldrig slut! Det är väldigt krävande. För det blir så mycket mindre träning/cykel. Våren har lyst med frånvaro i denna delen av Sverige vilket är ovanligt såhär års. Jag har cyklat i regn och rusk tagit mig ut lite då och då. Det är inte ultimat utan rätt kläder. Regnkläder som andas bra. Men det får bli något att se över i framtiden. Jag har sökt i ett år efter en cykel trainer då jag vet att vintern halvåret inte är hållbar att cykla i för mig, i min sjukdom. Då kylan och vintern påverkar mig negativt. (Blev en lång och väldigt tråkig vinter utan cykel) Trots gymmet så var jag inte alls förtjust. Med lite planer för vad framtiden kan bjuda på så är det väldigt bra att jag lyckats hitta denna fantastiska trainer! Så nu är planen så fort jag läkt ut denna förbanade infektion sätta mig på den och introducera mig för att kunna zwifta 🥰 Jag är en Gamer i fingerspetsarna och ända sedan jag såg min bror koppla upp cykeln på zwift blev jag helt besatt av tanken! Så detta är en längtan som jag ska förvärkliga snart🤩 Vet inte vart jag vill cykla först i Italien kanske? Jag kommer utan tvekan finna en fördjupad glädje och kärkek för min cykling. Så flexibelt att kunna ta upp cykeln från föråddet, för att sedan koppla på och ge sig iväg på ett digitalt äventyr. Jag älskar att komma ut och cykla, inget slår att cykla ute! Detta blir en förlängning och ett hjälpmedel att kunna utöva det jag älskar, på andra lustfyllda vis.
