This shot of Chimney Rock National Monument at sunset was part of the last set of photos I took during my trip to the Black Hills in June of this year. It also happened to feature the best skies at sunset I had seen all week. The setting sun and skies paired nicely with this striking location. Did you know that Nebraska is more than just corn fields? The further west you go past Kearney, you get to see land features reminiscient of Wyoming or Colorado. It is in this region of Nebraska you find such landmarks as Chimney Rock and Scotts Bluff. The day I took these photos was a warm late May day around my hometown of Sidney, Nebraska. The skies were just so blue that day I couldn't resist taking my camera out and driving around for a few hours on the dirt roads around the county.
