As you all might have gathered by now… I just love, love love love LOOOOVVVVEE BLIMIN DENIM!!!!!. I’ve pretty much worn it everyday of my life since I was a teenager… I can’t get enough of it!💙. My ideas for designing with denim are simply never ending. I love the differing shades of indigo… the structure, the wear… definitely the more worn out the better… . I’ve been surprised lately that a couple of my pearly Queen denim Levi jackets haven’t sold… Very puzzling because usually when I absolutely love something… there’s always at least one other person who does too. It’s happened again… can’t figure out how to put blimin music to this… sometimes the music option comes up sometimes it doesn’t!! Ggrrhh! I blimin hate technology!. Anyhow, I’d like to introduce you to my new shape ‘The swinton’. Based on a shape of a favourite vintage double breasted coat my Annie copied the pattern of. She’s the most tailored of my coat shapes, has a DB revere & slightly fitted at the waist & neater on the shoulder. I plan to have her in two sizes.. Med & medium large. This one is called ’The Swinton of Paradise’. Mind you I have one quite major problem… I can’t find someone to do my keyhole coat buttonholes!!! . I can get a regular straight shirt buttonhole done but nothing for a coat.. I have some amazing buttons but no buttonholes! If there’s anyone out there who can help me I would soo appreciate it!🙏. . All I can say is I’m going to miss my beautiful talented friend @lisataylor_design …end of an era… She’s off on a new exciting adventure to a place she loves best!. Taylor’s tours of India is her new venture & I know it’ll be just fabulous!. However… she’ll be coming back next summer & will still be popping in some of her new creations into the shop from time to time… . So thankfully she’ll still be part of our lives here in Deal.
