Finally started using my @motivestationery planner🌻💗 It’s just hit me today that I’m 50% through my module🥺 This assignment is tough, it’s the first time that I’ve tried writing a presentation script. We’re usually asked to write essays and reports😔 I just need to remember that we’re being asked to do this for a reason and everyone is in the same boat. I cannot wait for this one to be finished, my least favourite one so far in the DD210 module. I don’t know why I thought it would be a nice break from writing an essay🤷🏼♀️ However it’s important to be kind to yourself and remember that we’re still learning. So after taking some time out for myself, I’m ready to get back on track with planning for TMA03📝📖 I’m so glad I asked for an extension. I started to feel really burnt out which I think is one of the reasons why I didn’t understand my assignment😞 I’ve realised over this past week that whilst it’s so important to be organised and on track with my study weeks, I need to listen to my body when it’s telling me I need to rest🪴🌻 That’s one of the benefits of doing an open university degree, you can ask for help and extra time if you have other priorities that are just as important and demanding. Does anyone else like keeping their old studying books?📚 I like to keep all my old books and papers- it helps me realise how far I’ve come and how much I have accomplished over the years☺️🌟 I’m still waiting for my results back on TMA02 but I’m trying to stay positive that I have passed- the wait is always the worst🤞 However I do always try to remind myself that I am still on my learning journey and failure is a part of the process. Time to start block 3📖 I’m planning on getting in a full day studying today📚🧠 anyone else prefer to do full days instead of shorter sessions? Did anyone else promise themselves that they would more organised this year?😅🎓 I felt really disorganised in DE100 so I promised myself to change my study style for this module! 🌟 One of the things that’s really helped so far in DD210 is creating my own little glossary- this has helped massively with keeping up to date with all the new terms, approaches and methods to remember! Hi guys🧚♀️ This is my first post so please say hi! ☺️ I’ve been thinking of making a study account for a while now but always put myself off from doing it. However after following so many lovely people on my personal account and seen how helpful it was to be a part of a community where you can get support and advice, I thought why not?! 📚👩🏼🎓 A little bit about myself- I’m 27 and I started off a few years back doing an access course with the OU in social sciences as I wasn’t 100% sure I was ready to commit to Uni straight away. However I enjoyed it so much and the OU were so supportive given that I work full time I decided to take the plunge! 4 years later I am on year 3/6 studying BSc Forensic Psychology and I absolutely love it! I’m currently studying part time and I am doing DD210 which has been my favourite module so far! I’ve recently signed up to BPS monthly newsletter as I promised myself that I would engage in more active reading this year! This is something I plan to decide over the next 4-6 years to decide. Either: Victim support and evaluation - focusing in on Victims Or Working alongside the court/police as a consultant Or A Probation officer I grew up watching police and investigation films on TV on repeat as a child.
