Good morning, everyone. It's after 10 am here. I tried giving Daisy (siamese furbaby), some prescribed wet food mixed in with hers. The very first time she walked away. I just tried again, with less in it, since she eats very small portions throughout the day. And again, she walks away, I'm going to try to wait and see if she gets hungry enough to eat it. I have had very little energy, motivation or happiness flowing through me the last couple of days. So seeing this affirmation today felt like a heavy weight instead of an encouragement. I have been rallying every day to give everything I have to my clients, showing up in the sugar room or in my coaching calls with all the life I have to live. And it’s been leaving nothing leftover for my kids or 31 or myself. Which does not make me feel good. I was reflecting in my Instagram stories about not feeling myself and realized that I am likely (in part) experiencing a bit of a sugar crash. After all the celebrations this weekend, it makes sense that I am feeling off while getting back into my meal plan and routine. So instead of feeling like I have to be playful today to live up to this affirmation, I am going to be gentle with myself. Theres so much opportunity to learn about myself, practice compassion and build trust with myself and just allow myself to experience the ebbs and flows of life. Sometimes we have to lower our expectations. For ourselves. Not always.
