We are back as normal the following week 9th May. My class is small & personal with a focus on quality teaching & moving with Traditional Authentic Pilates Exercise. The work I do in my Pilates Studio in #Porth allows me to enjoy the outdoors. To mountain bike in the beautiful surroundings of the #Rhondda & beyond. The photo I took is at the top of the Rhondda Fach overlooking Maerdy Reservoir in Feb 2021. Looking at my pictures you'd probably never know what I have going on with my spine (unless you were to read some lengthy posts 😊). With management of my condition using Pilates I have control over my muscles because I understand how to connect to them using the Pilates Method. I spent some time in the Treorchy community today where my new Pilates class is going on Thursdays 12-1pm At Ynyswen Miners Welfare Hall (The Coffin). This venue has a large car park and easy access off the main road up the Valley. I went to check out the @cwmfarmshop just around the corner and me and Stu had lunch there- by far the best Brie & Cranberry Panini I have ever tasted in fairness so I'm up for an early meet each week for a coffee/ hot chocolate before class as it fits in perfectly to take a little break during my teaching day before returning to my studio. On this day in 2019 I was awaiting delivery of my #pilatescadillac #pilateshighchair #pushupdevice #smallbarrel from @pilates_designs from the USA. I had been open teaching in my space for 1 year. A year later I added a #pilatesarmchair to make a fully equipped Classical pilates studio along with a second reformer for my duets. 4 years later & my space including the walls are full 🥰 My business survived the covid closures thanks to my students willing to be taught over #zoom & I still teach 3 classes on zoom each week. SPOTLIGHT ON MY STUDENT RACHEL & HOMEWORK PLANS 😀 I have some committed students with home reformers & each of my students have their own homework plan that is updated quarterly, biannually, annually or bits session by session, whatever they need 😀 Some of my students like mini videos, pictures & instructions, lists or post it notes in the Pilates return to life text for their matwork. Every student's homework plan & pace of progression is unique & individual 👌 After 3 years of us working together Rachel @nulaoo1 has progressed to a fair number of the advanced reformer repetoire.
