This weekend I stared directly into the eyes of God. I know I'm vocal about working with some big plant medicine energies, but this was before having any in my belly. One of the ways we started the weekend was we lined up in two rows and took turns staring into the eyes of the person across from us while putting our left hands on their hearts. Last time I did an exercise of this nature I was in a very different place in myself and it felt pretty uncomfortable. This time I felt magnetic with the sensation of cosmic wonder as I was powerfully reminded how amazingly, deeply SACRED it is to be human. To have this human experience. I know it may be hard to rest in that truth right now, the way our collective is going through it, but for me, any other approach than to find solace in the perfection of our predicament would be maddening. Do I love the reality we've all agreed upon to be true? In many ways, no. Are there a ton of things I'd change about it if I could? Obviously. But what I won't do anymore is argue with God. Right now, this is what we have. Instead of judging people, and participating in the million ways we can find the us vs them in our modern world, I will continue to look into the eyes of my human and animal families and know that deep within their gazes is the whole world; the most divine consciousness. And I will LOVE them, even if I don't like them, even if I don't agree with them, even if they hurt me, because if I am the divine soul I know I am, that means every other soul out there is as well.
