The conceptual design of the Bekas-class corvette is 🛥️ an example of a vessel from the rich portfolio of the Remontowa Marine Design & Consulting design office. A multi-purpose warship with a total length of 90 m, a width of 13.5 m, a draft of 3.6 m and a displacement of approximately 1,700 tons ⚖️ is the optimal choice for fleets looking for a modern vessel that meets the requirements of the 21st century. The hybrid drive in the CODLOD (COmbined Diesel-eLectric Or Diesel) system allows for long marches at economical speeds or sudden acceleration to maximum speed when the operational situation requires it. The designed platform allows for the use of various weapons systems (artillery of various calibers, anti-ship and anti-aircraft missiles, 🚀 anti-submarine torpedo tubes, two helicopters 🚁 (one in the hangar and the other on the flight deck)) and sensors (towed sonar and various types of radars), which makes this warship suitable for fulfilling a wide range of tasks intended for ships of its class. The boarding boat launched from the stern slip 🚤, together with the embarked special group, allows for the fulfillment of patrol and control tasks. The shape that meets the requirements of stealth technology and the minimization of the physical fields generated by the ship make it difficult to detect by a potential enemy's observation systems. In the RoPax project for the Polish shipowner Unity Line, we have implemented the CADMATIC Electrical module, which is part of the modern CADMATIC Software. 💻 👉 This module enables the wiring of the ship between the transmission and receiving points in 3D modeling mode. The cable routing system is closely linked to the attributes of the cable trays, which allows for quick identification of cable location as well as control of cable tray and passage fill levels. 🔍 Moreover, by linking the modules of hull-equipment-piping systems-cable trays-cables in a single application, we are able to create a complete coordinated 3D model of the unit, which allows us full control and coordination in the processes of: ✅ design ✅ execution (installation) ✅ installation inspections ✅ equipment start-ups ✅ final acceptances in the process of harbor and sea trials We are continuously expanding the scope of our competencies, and the mentioned implementation process adapts to current requirements for safe cable routing with control of separation, safe location, and optimal material ordering. SEA Europe (The Shipyards’ & Maritime Equipment Association of Europe) presented its principles and recommendations for the forthcoming European Union's maritime industrial strategy—the Maritime Industry Act—at the European Parliament. 🗂️ This initiative aims to rebuild and secure the European shipbuilding industry against unfair practices by Asian competitors, especially China. 🤝 The meeting attracted about 150 participants, including Members of the European Parliament, representatives from the European Commission, and the OECD. The hosts of the meeting were French MEPs Catherine Chabaud and Pierre Karleskind. Key issues discussed included Europe's security and the need for a strategy to support shipyards. 🏗️ Under the Maritime Industry Act, plans include building or reconstruction up to ten thousand sustainable and digitalized marine and inland vessels by 2035. Additionally, the strategy includes facilitation in the financing of shipbuilding and modernization, and introducing incentive systems for shipowners to prefer European shipyards. 🇪🇺 The act also anticipates introducing a "Made in Europe" criterion in public tenders for certain types of vessels, as well as the development of education and access to skilled workers, essential for the revival and competitiveness of our shipbuilding industry. 👉 Through these measures, the Maritime Industry Act aims not only to protect the European shipbuilding industry but also to enhance its competitiveness on the global market. The ship will be named ORP Rybitwa. 🚢 Kormorans are multi-purpose mine countermeasure platforms, among the most modern vessels of this type in the world. The launching of ORP Rybitwa is scheduled for march 2025, with its commissioning into the 12th Wolin Minehunter Squadron of the 8th Coastal Defense Flotilla, based in Świnoujście, planned for 2027. ORP "Kormoran" - remont średni połączony z useryjnieniem jednostki. 🛠️ Po 5 latach od przekazania okrętu Marynarce Wojennej RP, ORP „Kormoran” wpłynął do Gdańskiej Stoczni „Remontowa” na swoją pierwszą naprawę średnią. Jest to pierwsza, prototypowa jednostka, która przeszła kilkuletnie testy eksploatacyjno-wojskowe przed wejściem do służby. Doświadczenia z tych testów były wykorzystane przez nasze biuro projektowe do wprowadzenia modyfikacji w kolejnych jednostkach serii, ORP „Albatros” (602) i ORP „Mewa” (603). 🚢 Okręty typu Kormoran II służą do poszukiwania, identyfikacji i zwalczania min morskich, prowadzenia rozpoznania torów wodnych, przeprowadzania innych jednostek przez akweny zagrożenia minowego, stawiania min oraz zdalnego sterowania samobieżnymi platformami przeciwminowymi. Okręty należą do najnowocześniejszych jednostek tej klasy w strukturach NATO. 🌐 W całości zostały zaprojektowane przez biuro projektowe Remontowa Marine Design & Consulting. 💪 Remont średni nie jest zwykłą procedurą konserwacyjną. We present a Multipurpose Offshore Search and Rescue Vessel, project 5784-I. 🚢 This technologically advanced vessel dedicated to search and rescue (SAR) 🆘 is designed for multifunctional maritime patrols. 🌊 The main tasks include: ✅ search and rescue operations on Vietnamese and international waters, ✅ long-distance search and rescue operations, ✅ command and supervision for ships which take part in rescue operation, quick approach on scene of accident, ✅ identification of ships and their accurate position, ✅ support the damaged ships, taking survivors, small boats etc. from sea, towing the damaged ship to port, ✅ fire fighting at sea, ✅ first medical help, ✅ performing SAR operations using a helicopter, ✅ diving work. 👉 5784-I provides logistical support, including delivering food, fuel, and water to active maritime administration boats and civil services, as well as to remote islands and oil rigs. We have completed the workshops on Cadmatic Hull software, dedicated to designing the hulls of floating vesslels, in which students and employees of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding participated. 💻 Cadmatic is a widely used tool in the maritime industry for designing various types of floating vesslels, ranging from cargo ships to offshore vesslels. For 10 weeks, we passed on practical knowledge. We provided educational licenses, and the participants, using the provided documentation, had the task of modeling a three-dimensional object or its section. At the end of the workshops, each participant received a certificate from us, which will certainly help him in the job search in the shipbuilding industry. 🎓 As stated by MSc. Eng. Last Friday, at the Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A., a ceremony took place to cut the steel plates for the construction of the fifth ship in the series of the 'Kormoran II' type minehunter. The vessel will be named Rybitwa. 🎖 👉 The Kormoran II are an important element in the development of the national defense industry. They belong to the class combat ships. Often referred to as mine minehunter, this term does not fully reflect their capabilities. Kormorans are multi-purpose mine countermeasure platforms, among the most modern vessels of this type in the world. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding, in cooperation and under the patronage of the Employers' Association Forum Okrętowe, is launching postgraduate studies in Shipbuilding for the first time. 🛳️ 👉 Anyone who has completed higher education (bachelor's, engineering, or master's degrees) can become a student of the postgraduate program.
