As I was taking these pictures, the shepherd noticed and asked 'if everything was okay' , 'what are you doing'. I tell him , 'nothing , just taking pictures of sheep'. In the ensuing conversation, he told me , one of the lambs (the lamb In first slide) was attacked by a jackal. He also tells me , he saw a wild boar , an animal he had never seen in this area. There has been reports of wild boar sightings in these woods , for that almost from every part of Kashmir. I tell him about locations of few jackal burrows and the parts they can be seen most of the time. The shepherd also told me how Bakarwals are trying to take over their grazing area. most of the time I previsualise the photos i take. Like i see a certain thing , place and then i imagine how in a particular weather , light or how a certain scene would look like and then i just try to be there at moment and Alhamdulilah it happens as i would sketch it in my mind. Like for this photo of Moon in this basket ball hoop. I was around Dal lake yesterday when I saw moon and i instantly knew i had to take a picture of moon in Basketball hoop ( the shot was already on my film photography list) , so i drove back home to a Basketball court in neighbourhood. while I was strolling and taking pictures in Downtown today, one person noticed I was shooting with a small camera and he then asked if I was shooting a film camera , as I nodded positive , he started telling me how he used to shoot film photos back in his youth and asked why I am shooting film when everyone is shooting digital.
