So I’ve been thinking for a while how I could make my flowers into earrings. They have usually ended up too big, too heavy or just not right, but I think I finally found the Goldilocks size and I love them. They’re made from light white porcelain and accented with real gold. Last night pieces lined up getting ready to go in the kiln. I’ve had a week- I threw out my back on Monday. Definitely not ideal timing especially with markets galore on the horizon. But I’m back on the up and up and making like a fiend (thank you @jdponder for lifting my wheel so I can stand while throwing- I wish I had done this sooner). Sometimes really beautiful pieces can be a little flawed just like you and me. This porcelain pot developed a crack that showed in the last firing. Is it still useable, maybe not completely as intended, but the crack will now act like a hole for a potted plant. Do I love it any less, absolutely not. Am I glad I get to keep it?
