The drink: “The 19th Amendment” Herbal Gin, Creme de Violette, Lavender Syrup, Lemon, Tea Concentrate, Prosecco, Seltzer The play: Directed by Amelia Peterson The Burn Vote is a world premiere original musical about the true story of Tennessee’s role in the ratification of the 19th amendment. No one expected that the final step in securing women’s voting rights would come down to the state of Tennessee, much less to the tie-breaking vote of a 24-year-old junior legislator, Harry T. Burn. In the heat of a second round of voting, after voting against ratification previously, Representative Burn turned to a letter he had received from his mother, Febb Burn, in which she ever-so-gently urged him to vote for suffrage. This tiny nudge turned into a tipping vote that swayed national momentum and changed history.

Poll: Do you like to visit a brewery/taproom the first day it is open? I definitely try to and this weekend I was able to visit @mondaynightknox and @kernsfoodhall on opening day!! Monday Night had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for this beautiful day in the low 70’s!! We sat outside upstairs for a bit, before moving inside to watch The Masters and LSU @ Vols baseball. We got hungry after a while and I had to try @avapizzeria_knox! The Pepperoni was delicious!! Nice and crispy, just the way I like it!!! With desserts, food trucks, and many other food options, it will be difficult to not drop by Kern’s Food Hall often! I was excited for the Monday Night Knoxville location to open, but there is so much more to the venue, it’s a must visit!! It was busy but the venue is so spacious I never felt overcrowded!! Monday Night had my favorite bathroom sign ever! Check it out on slide 9!! 😂
