I love every holiday with my family, because we are dorks. The Sybs hung my #PapelPicado (@corinnemayberry bought me these in #Texas for my birthday because I am obsessed with #DiaDeLosMuertos ( #DayOfTheDead).) in honor of #MemorialDay. Then we all went to watch #SoloAStarWarsStory (which, incidentally, wasn't AMAZING, but still a very fun movie! I definitely give it a thumbs up! ๐ It doesn't deserve half the hate it is getting, IMHO.) and brought home some #PandaExpress which was yummy. So, yeah, a laid back celebration, but still very good. I love my family, and am also grateful for the sacrifices made so I can enjoy the freedom and faith we get to share. We do usually try to go to the cemetery where my mom's fam is on the Sunday before, but it didn't happen this year. That top picture is a pretty lame representation of the magical state of our family room today! In person it looks AWESOME!!! Because, yep, in our family we celebrate the birthday of #HarryPotter and my sister, @corinnemayberry plans amazing MONTHS LONG celebrations, day trips, and epic competitions. Last year, it was for the Mayberry House Cup and I totally won (but only with Corinne refusing to credit herself all the points she deserved.). This year we are competing in the Triwizard Tournament. (The "tri" portion is either an faux pas in editing, or an accurate prediction on how competitive we'll be; Me, @spencemayberry , and Mom, will be ALL in. So will Rinny, but I know she'll bow out of it in the end as the facilitator, and Padre will do nothing and then try to cheat. Sorry for posting this late, but juggling debilitating daily migraines, making edible pretzel wands, (and making a British/Harry Potterish dinner with stuff like Yorkshire puddings and roast beef and potatoes.), and watching movie #1, we had a busy night.
