That was probably one of the best gigs of my life...😌 When I arrived quite tired at Südkreuz Berlin on Sunday lunchtime after a great KOSMOS rave in Leipzig, I got a call from an unknown number. I immediately knew it had to be Sisyphos and for a second I was terrified that my gig would be cancelled. But it turned out quite differently: „Hi, the Dampfer is too crowded at the moment, so we’d like you to play at the Hammahalle. Does that work? My answer: OF COURSE!!! Ever since I first stood at this magical floor as a young raver, it’s been a dream of mine to play there. This huge room, the design, the sound system, the lighting technology, lamps that turn into flamethrowers... on this floor you almost feel like you’re on a film set where no cameras are allowed. I started the set directly with my Dune Remix and immediately got goose bumps when all the ravers poured into the hall lured by the sound of Arrakis. The rest was just a dream from the first to the last second. Thank you so much lovely Sisy-Crew and you wonderful dancers! <3 You can now listen to the set on my SoundCloud (link in bio). Let’s sit down for a moment. I’m still speechless about what happened on Saturday... To be honest, I was incredibly nervous before the event, but I couldn’t be happier about the start of the KOSMOS series right now. ☺️ When I went to greet my friends shortly before we opened the doors, I was overwhelmed by the huge queue that had already formed in front of the entrance. 👀 After that, everything was just one big flight through time and space. 🚀 The music sounded wonderful on the new Eli Sound System (big props to @ultraschall_pa), the artwork of our KOSMOS releases turned into trippy visuals and the atmosphere on both dancefloors was simply phenomenal. 🔥 As no video recordings are allowed in the club, I can’t show you any of it, but perhaps that’s exactly why the mood was so good. Being fully in the moment and simply enjoying the time together. 😌 Big thanks to my buddy @oliver_huntemann, who inaugurated the event series with a spectacular set. 🙏 And thanks to all the other great acts who contributed to an unforgettable night with their amazing music: 👩🚀 @laranovae 👩🚀 @eva_sohler 👩🚀 @julefennek and last but not least the one and only 👨🚀 @officialaender. This edition was our first as MVMB. We were set to play the mainstage as the final act of that night, right after X-Dream. This could be a huge night for us, full dancefloor, that seemed hungry and ready for more after X-dreams set. The timetable was delayed 30 mins. We opened our set with a couple of our signature bangers and we had a rocking dancefloor, everything was looking great, even X-dream stayed and enjoyed our set, right until the clock struck midnight, and that massive wall of MVMB spacetechno sound got turned way way down in volume, it felt like it might as well be shut completely! What a contrast. What a shock! Agreement with the local community they told. No music after midnight they said. We felt robbed, and couldnt do anything but accept our faith. Still love this festival who have reinvited us several times through the years. They were for many years located at a very cool venue with a big lake by the main stage and the small techno stage 4th floor, where we also performed a couple of times, with great pleasure.
