2 for 1! I foiled my Fairy tale betterpress plate from @pinkfresh studio with Spellbinder's lilac satin foil and used my solid plate to get the reverse background. I love the delicate details this plate gives. It is soooo beautiful. Then I completed my cards with a stitched medallion die cut from @teamspellbinders which I had embroidered (white embroidery onto @ginakdesigns Lovely lavender cardstock for the positive background and lilac embroidery onto white cardstock for the negative background). A few crystals and the cards were ready. I first used this design to create the card with the reverse foiling for my friend @edwige_domisse and I loved it so much that I decided to use the positive foiling to create a card for myself. I recreated this card in another color palette, which I will share in another post. I am finally posting this card I made for my friend @maria.nastasa 's birthday. This is probably one of my favorite cards ever. I was inspired by the talented @yana.smakula and used the Floral and vine 3D embossing folder from @spellbinders onto some grapefruit cardstock from @concordand9th. I inked the edges with @catherinepooler ink. Probably clay mask. For the stitching digits, they were sent to me by my friend @edwige_domisse , and were die cut from Concord and 9th (aubergine for the shadow) and maybe Clairefontaine paper. I wanted more contrast with the cardbase, so I added a dark purple frame from @vaessencreative cardstock. Easter is almost here, so I decided to create a Pink Felt Easter Bunny using Papertrey Ink ~ In Stitches: Easter Treats Dies that was given to me by my sweet friend @pattyomalley1 It was fun creating it for Saturday Morning Makes which is hosted by my sweet friend Jill Norwood @greenwoodgirlcards For the bunny I used thick pink felt that I found at Hobby Lobby. I stitched it using three stands of DMC Embroidery Thread. I added a crocheted bow along with a small pink daisy button which I also found at Hobby Lobby. The tail is a wool felted ball. I picked up the Papertrey Ink ~ In Stitches: Easter Treat Die Set last year with a gift card my sweet friend Patty O’Malley @pattyomalley1 gave me, so I decided to make some felt carrots with it for Saturday Morning Makes which is hosted by my sweet friend Jill Norwood @greenwoodgirlcards I used thick orange felt that I found at Hobby Lobby and stitched both sides of the carrots before glueing and stuffing the carrots. It’s probably not the way they are suppose to be put together, but I wanted both sides of the carrots to look really nice. I added a daisy button to the top of the carrots from Hobby Lobby along with a LOTV Tag. I am getting more comfortable working with notebook pages and so today I am sharing a double-page notebook layout featuring a wood veneer from the Love Us set in the shop. I’ve found that @colorcastdesigns wood veneers are one of my favorite dimensional embellishments in my 2024 story album layouts. The reason is the wood veneers fit seamlessly onto the smaller notebook pages. They add texture and interest while the weight of the veneer is perfect for the more delicate notebook paper. Finally, I tried some stitching dies. It's a love/hate relationship so far. I love the look, but I'm not a fan of tiny pieces. They are hard for me to hold and my hands shake all the time. Today's realization: If I want to get through the @teamspellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas by December 25, I HAVE to start today! So, although I am already deep into the Advent Calendar, here I am, starting a new adventure! 🤪 Today's stitching die set is a three-piece Christmas tree that dances if you put it together with the pendulum (which I did not). I stitched up the tree pieces and then added the pink trim, holding them together with rather oversized French knots. On a whim, I pieced it together at wonky angles. The dot embossing folder and sentiment are from this year's Advent Calendar, Days 5 & 4. Here I have a few more ornaments for gifts. I went on a bit of a crafting binge over the Thanksgiving holiday so there will be several more ornaments to show. These were made using the @poshtadesign Homespun Holiday: Keepsake Ornament II kit and the companion Extras dies. The felt and sequins were from the Classic Yuletide color story. I also used the Oliver’s Stitched ABC’s die from @lawnfawn so that the monogram letters would fit inside the smaller cutout of the ornaments. #feltornaments #poshtadesign #feltstitching #stitchingdies
