Two nights at the Stone Mountain Arts Centre is the perfect way to start a run of dates. The area (Maine-New Hampshire border) is beautiful, the audiences are enthusiastic and Carol and her staff at SMAC treat touring musicians with respect and care and with an attention to detail that I don’t think we have experienced anywhere else. The venue also has the best dressing room, which brings back all of our 1970’s teenage memories…including a working turntable and a vinyl collection that seems transported from that time. My oldest and I got in our best dress last night to see @brettdennen at #stonemountainartscenter - an amazing space in Brownfiled, ME. It was her first concert, and boy did she get a good one. We had an incredible time last night seeing Judy Collins. Our seats were front row, she was less than 10 feet from us the entire time. Her voice was impeccable. An amazing performance by an incredibly talented woman. She played some oldies, and many new songs. Which were very good. At 82 she was still holding notes like she was a much younger singer. She was in high heeled boots and stood and a sang much of the performance. She played a 12 string guitar, and when on the piano, she played with beautiful percission. That woman is amazing. #stonemountainartscenter
