31 (yes, THIRTY-ONE!!!) years ago today, on a Thursday at 4:00 in the afternoon, we got married in a small church parlor with about 30 of our closest family members and friends present. Why a Thursday at 4? That was the only thing available with 2 weeks notice!!😅 We've clearly always struggled with PLANNING. I was 19 and Chris was 21. #wewerebabies 👶🏼 👶🏼 My dress cost a hundred bucks on clearance. 💵 We got the flowers and cake from Homeland, a local grocery store that we coined our "one stop wedding shop." Chris wore a suit because you can wear that again unlike a tux. #practical Obviously we've always been #superfancy 😉 We said our "I do's" that day and took off in our burgundy Honda accord with "Just Married" written in shaving cream on the back. Our destination was Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and once again, we had no reservations, no plans of any sort. #planningisoverrated 🤪 On our way from Okc to Arkansas, Chris got pulled over for speeding, not only once, but TWICE. The second officer, upon hearing that we literally had just TIED THE KNOT, let him off with this warning: "Well, Son, I can't do anything worse to you than you've already done to yourself. Good luck." #cantmakethisup 😆😆😆 But... here we are 31 years later and we love each other more today than ever before. We love our life together. We love our beautiful, precious children. We love our three gsp's. We love laughing together.
