Begonia vagans, a tuberous species from Thailand. We have had a prop of this for a few years but have always had issues getting it to mature and flower. However, even when small it self propagated a lot. Begonia 'White Ice' I promised more foliage so here we go! 😏 This bego was undoubtedly the best performing plant throughout the whole winter. It spent the whole season right next to the only radiator in the flat that was turned on non stop and still it exploded with perfect growth. I grew this whole plant from a single little cutting. One of my absolute favourite begonias. The colours are so good. #begoniaautumnember is a very fitting name. Mine is far from the best example. I tried growing it in room humidity (50%) and it did okay but I couldn't keep up watering it. I've moved it to my greenhouse cabinet, which is more like 65%, and it seems to already be doing much better. Begonia U074 This is quite a recent addition from a swap and it's been such a happy one ever since, it didn't skip a beat after i received it bare rooted. It almost suddenly started flowering as well. The plant stays small and compact, the stems are vibrant purple-red and the leaves have iridescent patterns. Begonia lealii 9 meses desde que chegou aqui em casa (foto 4). 6 meses desde foi jogada para fora da minha varanda (foto 5), por uma tempestade com ventos muito violentos, e caiu 9 andares, até se esborrachar no térreo, e ficou 12 horas sob chuva torrencial, sem vaso ou substrato, com as raízes expostas. Está cheia de novas ramificações (8 no total), e mal dá para ver agora a haste principal da planta.
