A game I have wanted to play for a long time now is Devil's Third on Wii U. Releasing exclusively on the system back in 2015 (other than it's online mode releasing on PC later on), Devil's Third is a third person hack and slash shooter from Dead or Alive creator and also the guy responsible for the Ninja Gaiden reboot Tomonobu Itagaki. Itagaki is hailed as one of the greatest game designers of all time, though Devil's Third was slated upon its release. Im more recent years, however, it seems to have somewhat of a cult following with many players calling it a bit of a guilty pleasure. I remember when this came out I really wanted to play it, but with money being tight back then and it getting critically panned, I prioritised other games instead. Recently, it has seen a huge surge in value, and whilst it was still reasonably affordable, I wanted to check it out before it starts going for silly money. Have you played this one? My dear pal Tomonobu Itagaki always tags up my games for me, but I’m nearing the end of signable games from his gameography (unless there’s some cool European variants with superior cover art), with the rare #DevilsThird closing out the collection. Nintendo of America printed a criminally low print run (5000’ish, but may have done a second run due to demand). I own three copies. Two signed and one still sealed. The Japanese version has the superior cover art though, and I finally got that one marked up. Released just a little more than 18 years ago, Dead or Alive 4. Having never owned an OG Xbox and being a DOA fan, I was bummed out on never getting to play DOA3 and DOA Ultimate, since they were exclusive to that console. With the release of DOA4, I wasn’t gonna miss out on that, so I actually went out of my way to get an Xbox 360 just to play this game. For what it’s worth, I have no regrets, given the amount of time I enjoyed playing this game back then. Dead or Alive 4 (XBOX 360), 2005 Originally suppose to be a launch title for the 360 but got delayed, for the better in my opinion as I feel fighting games in general need to be released in a way thats playable. Especially Dead or Alive, the series as whole is notorious for the amount of eye candy it has for the otakus but also has a very complex fighting system. Specifically the the counter system which can really ruin you and finish the match in less then 2 mins. DOA4 is no exception, in fact I feel its harder then 3 and even Ultimate. In fact the game feels like an extension of 3 with more characters and an extension of the counter system along with crispier graphics. Its good just expect a complex learning curve because if you go blind to this game, expect a game over within seconds. To be honest, I feel I still haven't gotten a good understanding of the counter system. This was also the last DOA game Tomonobu Itagaki Directed, while he gets a bad rep in the game industry which some of it is understanding but his approach to the DOA games made the series stand out thanks to his interesting game philosphy. It sure definitely feels like an Itagaki game, the cutscenes are over the top & very 🇺🇲 influenced. Better known as Dynasty Warriors style games in the west, the quote above is how I feel when I play through them. Musou games are often times mindless hack and slash style action that require little to no effort. You can literally just mash the X button as you make your way through the games. Koei has been cranking these games out since 1997, with a million spin-offs of popular franchises such as Persona, One Piece, Fist of the North Star, among others. I don't think I've ever finished a Musou game before, but Warriors All Stars intrigued me, as you can play as Kasumi and Ayane from Dead or Alive, Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, the Nioh dude, along with other staple franchise characters from Koei and Tecmo. Might as well include these to finish out my DOA posts. There are only two series that I will shill out for pretty much no matter what: Legend of Zelda and Dead or Alive. This began back in 2019 (I think). A friend jokingly told me I wasn't a real Zelda fan if I didn't find all the Korok seeds. Ever since then, I have it in my head to 100 percent everything in those games/buy as much of the series merch as I can regardless. If Zelda condoms were a thing, I'd probably own them for collectors purposes, which brings me here. I love the DOA fighting game series and Ninja Gaiden action games, being essentially an extension of that universe and lore. All that said, I do own these 3 DOA titles specifically catered to fanservice, #corevalues of the highest order! I don't own an Xbox and DOAX3 is still unopened, so I haven't played them, but I had to own them as official DOA titles. Pervy, depraved, silly, whatever it may be, it is what it is. Well I've been waiting in the mail for a long time......but I upgraded my #XboxSeriesX for my #birthday! Also, I got a 1TB #seagategaming #ssd with an expensive Elite Series 2 controller. Since this console plays discs I can play the exclusive #DeadorAlive games with 1, 2, 3, and 4 (chicks dig exclusives by #TomonobuItagaki who left #Tecmo after #NinjaGaidenII2008). Also, I got #HaloInfinite as a birthday present from someone. Not just all, I also have digital games with #RareReplay, #KillerInstinct, #PanzarDragoonOrta, and #ConkerLiveandReloaded. Like #XboxSeriesS it can play #RetroArch (@libretro), an emulator can play Playstation 2, Gamecube, and Wii. Playing PS1 emulator as #duckstation runs very well in regard to 4K. Piccolo retro-recupero dal cuore grandioso! Ninja Gaiden per XBox! Un autentico capolavoro che battagliò con quel Devil May Cry su PS2! Ma questo, signori miei è un prodotto di pregevolissima fattura, sapientemente curato e allevato dal Team Ninja capitanato da Tomonobu Itagaki. A suo tempo, su XBox, ricevette un riadattamento in Ninja Gaiden Black e poi anni dopo fu portato su PS3 come Ninja Gaiden Sigma(che poi è la versione che conosco io, questa portava alcuni profondi cambiamenti nelle texture generalmente e una veste grafica migliorata). Un gioco eccezionale, difficile, estremo e perfetto, ancora oggi un autentico punto di riferimento del genere. E sapete la cosa bella? Beh è compatibile con la retrocompatibilità di XBox One/Series e diventa automaticamente la versione Black con tutti i suoi contenuti aggiuntivi! Io l'ho pagato un inezia(10€ in totale). La versione Black invece, anche nella variante Classic, ha avuto un aumento di prezzo vertiginoso e pure questa qui sta incominciando a salire. Ninja Gaiden è uno di quei giochi che mi fanno ancora maledettamente smascellare sulla prima ciccionissima XBox. Davvero, lo guardi ora e non sembra in gioco che sul groppone ha 18anni. Devil´s third es un juego de acción y disparos, desarrollado Valhalla Game Studios y distribuido por nintendo, su director Tomonobu Itagaki padre de ninja gaiden y dead or alive, fue lanzado 4 de agosto del año 2015. En la historia Ivan un hombre ruso, musculoso y lleno de tatuajes, fanático de tocar la batería, pertenecía a un grupo de terroristas pero ahora va ayudar al gobierno de los Estados Unidos, usa espadas o metralletas. se tiene que enfrentar a sus compañeros para acabar con el caos que están ocasionando en el mundo, por lo menos el protagonista tiene mucho estilo, es algo que se puede destacar de todo esto. La jugabilidad del combate es simple, Ivan tiene pocos movimientos. El uso de armas son katana y armas de fuego con eso se puede pasar el juego sin problemas. Ivan obtiene armas más potentes en el transcurso del juego pero no tiene necesidad de existencia. El arma de fuego tiene un auto apuntar, y nos dan munición por todos lados, por esto no hay problemas de quedarnos sin armamento. Los gráficos, son de una consola menos potente que la WiiU, podría ser de Playstation 2, los escenarios son muy sencillos y poco detallados las texturas aveces no son de las mejores, lo único que destaca es el modelado de Ivan y el modelado de los jefes. El soundtrack ningún tema musical destaca mucho, y los efectos de sonidos cumplen su función. PD: el juego cuando salió se veía bueno, Itagaki dijo que la gente que opinaba mal no entendía su concepto de esta creación.
