Mima sokken Mijn koffieboontjes sokken zijn klaar maar staan nog niet op de foto dus die deel ik later. I just did our taxes and also finished my March carpool socks a couple of days ago, so have some celebratory FO photos. I’ve been looking at a ton of 1940s ankle sock patterns lately and decided to make some intentionally cuffed socks for the first time. This is a self striping yarn from @westyorkshirespinners that my mom bought when visiting my brother a few years ago. I knitted them top down, with 2x2 cables on the cuff, switching from size US 2s to 0s on the under cuff and foot. They have an Eye of Partridge heel flap, half handkerchief heel, 2x2 ribbed instep and long wedge toe. Ich habe wieder eine Anleitung testgestrickt und wieder waren es Socken. Die #parisocks von @imke_von_nathusius sind eher Basic, aber doch besonders und wirklich toll für selbstmusternde Garne geeignet, weil die Zunahmeferse das Muster nicht unterbricht. Neben dieser Art der Ferse - die übrigens schnell gestrickt ist und auch gut sitzt - habe ich noch etwas Neues gelernt mit dieser Anleitung: den sehr elastischen Alt-Norwegischen Anschlag. Ich kann euch diese Anleitung sehr empfehlen 😊 Hast du schonmal testgestrickt? The #parisocks by @imke_von_nathusius are rather basic, but still special and really great for self-patterning yarns because the increase heel doesn’t interrupt the pattern. In addition to this type of heel - which, by the way, is quick to knit and also fits well - I also learnt something new with this pattern: the very elastic Old Norwegian cast-on. These are knit from the cuff down to the place marker for an afterthought heel and on to the toe. Versailles is my latest cast off. Finished within a month (which is an amazing achievement at the moment for this probably ADHD yet to be formally Dx maker) The folded cuff was copied from the kid’s version. The socks are named after the lovely yarn colour - quite enamoured and still sad this brand is no longer available. The cuffs and heels are in #crone from #owlofathenafibrearts and is a fab colour which plays well with lots of colours. Isn’t the FLKH satisfyingly neat. Great for self-striping yarns. Toes are in a yarn from a mini yarn swap - no idea.
