Einen schönen Sonntag! Seit Frauchen ihre Physiotherapeuten Ausbildung beendet hat, haben wir am Wochenende wieder etwas mehr Zeit für gemeinsame Unternehmungen. Besonders das Mantrailing bereitet uns beiden große Freude. Man lernt neue Orte und Menschen kennen, arbeitet als Team und ist an der frischen Luft. The Telangana government has promised a job for the widow of Sayeed Saifuddin, one of the victims of the Jaipur Express shooting and also a two-bed room besides funding the educational expenses of his children. Speaking in the assembly on Friday, August 4, K T Rama Rao, a senior minister in charge of several portfolios, including Municipal Administration and Urban Development, said, “We will provide a job at Hyderabad Municipal Development Authority (HMDA), Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) or Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority (QQUSDA) to Saifuddin’s wife and a two bedroom flat under a housing scheme. In addition a fixed deposit of Rs 2 lakh each will be opened in the name of his daughters.” Interestingly, though the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is speculated to be softening towards the BJP, KTR came out strongly against politics of hatred. He said, “We know what caused the Jaipur killings or triggered Manipur violence as also the recent incidents in Haryana. Telangana will reject the politics that incites violence in order to reap political benefits,” he declared and added, “It is not good for India or the next generation. Hours after saying that Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable Chetan Singh — who allegedly gunned down his senior and three passengers on a Mumbai-bound train on 31 July — and his family had kept his medical issues a secret, the Indian Railways withdrew its statement Wednesday. R esidents of Battery Lane at AC Guards locality in Hyderabad are anguished over the “targeted killing” of Syed Saifuddin. They called it a “hate crime”. Saifuddin was one among the four people killed by a 33-year-old Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, Chetan Singh Choudhary, onboard the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express (12956) near Palghar railway station in Maharashtra around 5 am on July 31.Choudhary reportedly fired four rounds from his automatic rifle at his superior officer and Assistant Sub-Inspector Tikaram Meena. The constable was reportedly enraged as the officer refused to relieve him from duty early. He then allegedly went through several different coaches, identified Muslims, and shot three of them dead.Saifuddin had spoken to cousin Syed Tajuddin after boarding the train. “He called me after leaving for Mumbai from Ajmer with our shop owner and another employer Jaffer. They had gone to Ajmer from Hyderabad on July 25 to visit Sharif Dargah, ” a teary-eyed Tajuddin told South First. Saifuddin and Tajuddin used to work at a mobile shop at Gujarati Galli in Hyderabad’s Koti. “He had gone to purchase stock for the shop,” Tajuddin said. Tajuddin termed the incident a cruel act. “They killed him because he was a Muslim. Our employer has stated that the constable first asked his name before firing at him. That guy had a problem with Saifuddin’s identity and long beard. Is keeping a long beard a crime,” he asked. Constable Choudhary also gunned down two other men, Asgar Abbas Ali (48) and Abdul Kadar Mohamed Hussain Bhanpurwala (64).After the incident, a video of Choudhary standing next to one of the deceased he had allegedly shot dead went viral on social media.In the purported video, he spoke unclearly about “Muslims operating from Pakistan by their handlers.”Tajuddin alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union government was fuelling enmity instead of promoting communal harmony.“What is the government doing? Whenever someone k1lls innocent Muslims civilians they just declare them mentally unfit and reduce the sentence. Back in December 2017, when there was a BJP government in Rajasthan, a few months before the elections, Shambhulal Regar, a Hindu supremacist hacked a Muslim labourer to death with a shovel and set his half-dead body on fire. He recorded all this and it spread like wildfire on social media for all the wrong (right?) reasons. He was lauded as a Hindu saviour by sanghis and those people included my batchmates. The government was trying to move the case forward as slowly as possible but as soon as his devotees found out they stormed the city court, kicked the tricolour down and hoisted the saffron insignia of terr0r. My own friends of 15 years defended him right in front of me. Their exact words were "wo bechara dimagi takleef se guzar raha hai aur tujhe Hindu Muslim sooj raha hai". Then they switched to "ab tu hi bata na koi Hindu ladki ke paas Muslim jayega to love jehad hi hoga na Yaar ladki ko bachana zaruri tha na". Some whatsapp groups even tried to inject a love jehad angle into it to further "justify" the k1lling, later it was found out that the angle was always there, a hoax was the entire reason the man was killed. The man was k1lled only because he was a Muslim. This isn't whataboutism to deflect from the train sh00ting. The people who died on that train deserve justice too. But will justice come? Who are we fooling? The nationalists and bhakts who keep thumping their chests with jingoistic pride will tell you "this isn't the real endia", but deep down they always wanted this to be the real endia and they have made it a reality. On July 31, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable named Chetan Kumar shot dead four people on the Jaipur-Mumbai Central SF Express (12956) train.
