We're collaborating with @umomndc on a first-of-its-kind program in the nation ✨ to assist individuals and families in keeping their pets while in emergency shelter and permanent housing. Through this partnership, UMOM is contracting The Arizona Pet Project to place a dedicated social worker on its campus. This social worker will provide case management for families with pets and to help the shelter in providing case housing assistance when clients depart their facility for permanent housing. Our team will also help UMOM build training tools, improve outdoor dog-friendly spaces, and provide veterinary care, pet food, and supplies. Several bead necklaces and more than two dozen bead bracelets were donated recently to UMOM New Day Centers for the women and girls who live there. The bracelets, which are strung on stretchy string to fit a variety of sizes, were made by the women’s group Sophia. Each necklace and bracelet features a charm such as a cross, an angel, or an inspirational word such as love, faith, hope, brave, warrior, or trust.
