However, disparities in GDP per capita emerged, alongside political challenges concerning the rule of law and democratic principles in some of the states. ⚠️ Recent events, such as the activation of Article 7 procedures for Hungary, underscore the EU's commitment to safeguarding its foundational values. Dealing with problems related to judicial independence and weakening democracy requires our continuous attention and efforts. 📣 Today there is much talk about further enlargements. We are in favor of future enlargements, but first, we want a Federal Europe. Enough with unanimity at the European Council, Europe cannot be held hostage by a few.
