Cook only what you can consume; avoid food wastage. When food decays, it emits greenhouse gases like methane, contributing to environmental damage. 2. Instead of cutting down trees, plant new ones. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, helping to regulate our climate. 3. Refrain from burning bushes, as the gases released during burning contribute to climate instability and hazards. I’m doing a permaculture design course and I enjoyed these 🪱wormy🪱 moments from an old documentary series called Global Gardener presented by permaculture co-founder Bill Mollison. Well, Climate Change is very relevant (and very urgent) already even decades ago—as far back as June 1988 when James Hansen of Nasa’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies testified to the US Congress that there is evidence that the Earth’s climate was warming and that humans were the primary cause. But here we are right now, herculean hurricanes, droughts and heatwaves, famines and such, and mega typhoons ravaging cities we would never expect to flood like my second home, Dubai, or even in deserts.
